🌍 Canada’s tech ecosystem is rapidly evolving. As AI reshapes our work and the rules of leadership are rewritten, the question remains: Who gets to build, decide, and lead? Join Koru & Fig on March 10 at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for an evening of bold ideas and candid conversations: Women in Tech: AI, Money and the Myth of Merit. We are bringing together founders and executives for two headline panels that dive into urgent issues in innovation today: 🖼️ The Myth of Meritocracy – Redefining Leadership and Opportunity Featuring: myself, Seema Lakhani (Ex-Wattpad) & Jackie Hanson (Sprout Family) In this panel, we'll unpack: Is "merit" truly neutral? We'll discuss how systems of power shape hiring and leadership evaluation, and why the current pullback on DEI makes redesigning these systems more critical than ever. 💰 Can AI Help Us Build Better Financial Habits? Featuring: Monisha Sharma (Fig) Eva Wong (Borrowell) & Lisa Hannam (Neo Financial) In this panel, we'll unpack: From budgeting apps to credit monitoring, AI is everywhere. Our experts will discuss how intelligent systems are influencing financial behaviour and how we can design tech that genuinely empowers consumers. 🤝 The evening concludes with high-impact networking where attendees can connect with folks across fintech, AI, and the broader innovation community over refreshments. This isn't just a routine panel; it’s a curated forum to elevate women leaders and drive real change. 📅 When: March 10 | 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM 📍 Where: OTPP, 160 Front Street W, Toronto 🎟️ Register here: https://luma.com/a1pwlp7j #IWD2026 #WomenInTech #Fintech #AI #Leadership #NetworkingEvent #TorontoTech

🚀 At Koru, we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team. But we aren’t just looking for a set of skills - we’re looking for a specific mindset. We want folks who: ✨ Take comfort in navigating ambiguity. You don’t need a 50-page SOP to get started. You’re okay with "we’ll figure it out as we go" because you trust your ability to find the solution. ✨ Are unapologetically scrappy. You’re a problem-solver by nature. Whether it’s a tight deadline or a technical hurdle, you find a way to make it happen with the tools at hand. ✨ Want to make a big impact every single day. We operate as a small, tight-knit team. There are no "cogs in the machine" here. Every decision you make and every project you touch will move the needle for our venture. Why Koru? 🏗️ We give our people the space to own their work. If you want the autonomy to create, and influence the direction of what we build, this is the place for you. Think you’re the right fit? 🚀 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of BillieAI! Today marks a major milestone in how legal teams manage outside counsel spend with the introduction of a smarter, faster, and more transparent way to review legal invoices. For too long, legal bill review has been manual, time-consuming, and inconsistent, making it hard to enforce billing guidelines and gain clear visibility into one of the largest operational costs teams face. That’s where BillieAI steps in.  • An AI-powered legal bill review platform that helps teams review invoices accurately and consistently.  • Built with 15+ years of legal experience enforcing billing guidelines.  • Designed to deliver clear, defensible insights into legal spend so finance and legal teams can act with confidence. We couldn’t be more excited to see how BillieAI helps organizations unlock transparency and control in their legal operations. If you’re responsible for managing outside counsel spend and feel the current approach isn’t working, reach out or comment below.

Today we’re introducing BillieAI. https://billiereview.ai/ Companies spend millions each year on outside counsel, yet legal spend remains one of the least transparent line items for both legal and finance teams. Invoice review is still largely manual and episodic. Billing guidelines exist, but enforcing them consistently takes time most teams don’t have. As a result, meaningful issues go unnoticed and true insight into outside counsel spend remains a black box. The outcome isn’t just inefficiency. It’s a lack of control over one of a company’s largest and most sensitive operating costs. Billie is an AI-powered legal bill review platform built to change that. By combining domain-specific AI with practitioner expertise, Billie helps teams review invoices accurately, apply billing guidelines consistently, and gain clear, defensible insight into legal spend—without adding operational overhead. This is just the beginning. If you’re responsible for managing outside counsel spend and feel the current approach isn’t working, reach out or comment below.
