🧑💻 I've always been curious about what's happening in my own backyard. Edmonton has world-class AI research happening right now — most people just don't know about it. So I started a YouTube Channel to change that. First episode is live with Dr. Russ Greiner — professor at the University of Alberta, CIFAR AI Chair, and founding member of Amii (Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute) — who has spent over 45 years working at the intersection of AI and medicine. We talked about machine learning, healthcare, data, and what it actually takes to build AI tools that work in the real world. Once a month, Edmonton's data community gets together. Not for a lecture. Not for a networking event with awkward small talk. For something that actually feels worth your evening. We gather at Edmonton Unlimited downtown. Grab some food, grab some coffee, and settle in. A speaker takes the stage, someone doing work worth hearing about. #Datagovernance. #AI. #Analytics. #Machinelearning. The topics that matter to the people in the room. And then the conversations start. You'll meet data analysts who are solving the same problems you are. Engineers who've tried the thing you're about to try. Students who ask the questions no one else thinks to ask. Leaders who've been in your shoes and figured a few things out. There's no gatekeeping here. No "you must be this technical to enter." If you care about data, if you're curious about where it's all headed, you belong in this room. We meet the last week of every month. 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Our next one is #May28. Register Now: https://lnkd.in/gY5_XMxX The topic: Cybersecurity in the age of LLMs. A panel of AI researchers, ethicists, and security leaders. Come hungry. Come curious. You're invited. #DAMAEdmonton #DataManagement #YEG #DataCommunity #EdmontonUnlimited
