Our second RSK Energy Transition Cup at Charlton Athletic Football Club ! ⚽ What a fantastic day at The Valley, home of Charlton FC, as more than 250 people from across the energy sector came together, once again, for this year’s RSK Energy Transition Cup. With 16 teams taking to the pitch, the atmosphere was buzzing from the first whistle. Colleagues from across the RSK Group and the wider sector gave it everything from brilliant goals to last‑ditch tackles, making it a day full of energy, teamwork, and friendly competition 🏆️ Huge congratulations to RSK Biocensus Southern Ecological Solutions (SES), who claimed the trophy after a gripping final against MACBROOKGAS LTD. The sportsmanship, commitment, and team spirit on display were outstanding 👏 But beyond the competition, there was a more important reason for coming together: to raise critical funds for National Energy Action (National Energy Action (NEA)) – the UK’s fuel poverty charity. Currently, over 6 million households in the UK are living in fuel poverty, struggling to afford basic necessities like a hot meal or warm bath. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’re proud to share that the tournament raised over £13,500 to support NEA’s essential work. CAN teams recently completed inspection and maintenance works on London Stadium, helping preserve the brilliant white steel structure that has defined the venue since the 2012 Olympics. With restricted access zones, complex rope manoeuvres and tight project timelines, the team combined innovative access techniques with specialist cleaning methods to deliver the work safely and efficiently. Cutting emissions without taking fleets off the road 🚛⚡ Bateman Skips has integrated Engine Carbon Clean technology into its operations, delivered by 1stinrail, helping improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions across its fleet. A 12-week trial across 41 vehicles delivered an average 19.52% reduction in CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption — with additional operational benefits already being seen. The hydrogen-based treatment takes around 60 minutes and uses only tap water, offering a practical solution for lower-emission road and rail operations.
