Apple Mobile accessories Headphones Announcement

Thanks to the updated Apple H2 chip, the new model also brings Adaptive Audio and Live Translation features, as well as conversation awareness, which automatically lowers media volume when it detects speech in your surroundings.

AirPods Max 2 also get updated Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a new high-dynamic range amplifier, which Apple claims will deliver cleaner audio. Apple also added a camera remote feature, which allows you to use the digital crown as a shutter button.

The design remains unchanged from the first-gen AirPods Max from 2020. Battery life is still rated at 20 hours with ANC on, and you charge them via the USB-C port, which can also be used to listen to 24-bit, 48kHz lossless audio.
