Absence of a proximity sensor is the biggest deal breaker. Screenshots and app messing up while calling is a horrible thing. "Virtual proximity sensor" is just meaningless.

I use Radmi a5 it's good on Facebook tick tock mobile legend stable but Radmi when juice too much performance it will say Android not responding or Ui isn't responding system not responding on Genshin impact most stable 30 fps to 35 fps on low setting the phone need phone cooler to stable the phone this phone this fall learning it's good for every task one better performance gaming phone like IQOO rad magic ROG black shark Radmi turbo series

I kinda want one,unisoc doesnt seem too bad and the design is cool.and also i wanna give her my redmi 13c since her redmi a3 is dying out.and android go seems enough for my needs,games might suck on it,but i use my tablet for that so i wont have any problems at all if i get one.i problaby wont but meh ill see

I was at the hometown when I know that my young cousins are using their Redmi A5 phone to invite me to play MLBB with them, so I've just know about the model. They also installed some games like Roblox and FreeFire. A 7-year old girl and a 10-year old boy, each having their own phone. The same model of course (Redmi A5). I do feel jealous...I don't even have phones at that age, but its 2026 ya know. The kids are Alpha-gen.
The Mobile Legends game looks fine with Smooth graphics settings. Its their phone so if it can be played its playable. Who cares about high-frame rates and graphic if what we care is only to play the game.
Its using Android Go version, so
- the quick settings are really simple, cannot even turn on auto brightness.
- I try to custom the Back button navigation from left to right, but there's no option to do that, either you choose gesture or uncustomisable on screen button navigations🌚
- It doesn't feel like a Redmi phone at all, cuz its not a HyperOS skin. Feels really Android stock, just Lite version☎️.
- I'm always double tap blank space on home screen on my phones to screen off it, but that phone doesn't have the options on the settings. I feel annoyed🤢, but its an entry level phone so just let it be🤐. Just use the buttons y'all folks🤓.
TLDR; For the price its kinda good for kids👍. They seem to be enjoying their phones, so I guess that's fineee😬.
