Is there no way to save screenshots as PNG?
It saves them as JPG, a lossy format. I couldn't find a setting for PNG.

From those 2 options what would be the best one for long term? At this point i am using a Huawei Mate 10 which is almost 7.5 years old

Poco F7 pro or Poco X8... moreIf you want all of those then get their mainline Mi Flagship Series or other flagships from Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, etc. that are taunting their cameras, fast wireless charge & big batteries except samsung.
Ofcourse you gonna pay a hefty price compared to Poco that have to cut corners.

8K + 4K60 rear camera, 1080p60 front camera. LOL.
The Galaxy A series had a 4K front camera in 2021, but granted, the Poco F7 is a quite affordable 8K and 4K60 camcorder.

I purchased the Xiaomi POCO F7 Pro 5G 12GB+512GB from Amazon France, for €410.99 (which came with a phone case and a 90 watt charger) at the beginning of January, to replace my trusted Samsung Galaxy Note8 from 2018, as the battery was almost dead.
I choose the POCO F7 Pro for its 1440p OLED Screen (same resolution as my 27inch ASUS OLED monitor), the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, its fast 512GB Universal Flash Storage 4.1 and especially for its Hi-Res Wireless audio Snapdragon Sound.
I am very impressed with the POCO F7 Pro, as the 1440P screen is excellent, which is even better then the 1440p AMOLED screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 (which is still a very good screen), and the phone is very fast in day to day tasks and its Adreno 750 graphics card is very good for gaming on the phone.
The deciding factor in the purchases of my POCO F7 Pro, was its claimed Hi-Res Wireless audio Snapdragon Sound, which certainly did not disappoint, as I have the phone paired to my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 - Smart Earbuds, and they are now playing my extensive music library, (which fills up around 350 GB of my phone storage) in the aptX Lossless codec, which make the excellent Sennheiser Earbuds, sound even better then when they were playing in non Lossless codec.
Incidentally, I had my wife do a blindfold test on me, to see if I could tell the difference between the aptX Lossless codec on my Momentum earbuds and I identified the aptX Lossless codec every time, when she switched from the SBC and AAC codecs to the aptX Lossless codec.
Anyway, the Xiaomi POCO F7 Pro 5G 12GB+512GB is an exceptionally good phone, especially considering I only paid a little over 400 euro for it.

HelioG42069, 16 Nov 2025From my personal experience I've been able to turn off almost every ad and with apps that... moreYup, this is what I mostly tell people, it can be disabled or replaced with other third party apps, no big issue what so ever. Even cannot be turn off, it doesn't annoy much. Well, I do agree the latter newer POCO already cannot fully turn off the ads, I mostly replace it with other third party apps, particularly using the Google default one. Agree to disagree, at their price point at one point, I have very less complain.
