vivo X500 Pro Max spotted on Geekbench ahead of launch

vivo has confirmed that its X500 series will launch in China next month. Ahead of the launch, a vivo smartphone, believed to be the X500 Pro Max, has been spotted on Geekbench.

A vivo phone with the model number V2610 has been listed on the Geekbench website. The phone is equipped with a Mediatek MT6995 chipset with 8 cores and a base frequency of 3.10 GHz.

The chipset features two cores clocked at 4.55GHz, three cores at 4.35GHz, and another three at 3.10GHz. It is paired with 12GB of RAM, while the device is listed as running Android 17.

In the benchmark tests, the vivo smartphone scored 2,574 points in the single-core test and 7,756 points in the multi-core test.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the chipset could be the unreleased MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro.

The vivo X500 Pro Max is confirmed to come with a custom Sony Phantom 900 sensor with 3° optical image stabilisation support.

It is very common for chinese companies to skip the number 4, due to it being inauspiciously sounding like 'death' in Chinese and Cantonese. Hence, there was no Oneplus 4, Oppo Find N4, Honor Magic V4 and now no Vivo X400.
