It's amazing how they can use top tier hardware and make it to produce such garbage results. I'm always expecting something and I'm always getting disappointed. They simply cannot move from that plastic AI slop. Now someone will mention "oh but oppo, but vivo but that..." - yes and all other big Chinese OEMs provide secondary camera modes with that AI garbage disabled. Huawei doesn't. No proper RAW mode either. Those who praise these cameras are blind.

I've never particularly enjoyed Huawei colour science.
However, I was impressed by the 1x low light shots. I lived in Kuala Lumpur for most of 2025 and took many night shots of buildings and skyline, including from almost identical viewing points. Comparing with several hundred takes on my Pixel 9 Pro from last year, which were already fairly good, the Huawei has it beat in every possible respect.
There's a lot to like here on the photography side.

Because they have less processing to work with Huawei is doing all it can to optimize and extract more performance with their software.

They have the most bloat of any device to the fact can uninstall most of it. It will be riddled with ai from ios27. Ux on apple sucks. They skimped for years on ram so your 2 year old phone won't run the latest features. They are so bad.

mobile phone 2, 14 Jul 2026those are essensial apps like playstore and maps in android i like them, there is no harm ... morethe only essential apps are the ones you need for running play store, signing into apps using your google account, dialer, sms and push notifications. everything else is bloatware. if it's that hard for you to install an app pephaps you should stick to feature phones 😉

I use EMUI and get any app I want, I can access everything a phone needs to access, even though I had to install extra layers of software to get what I want.
