You should punish the absurd pricing of this device comparing it with 900 euros alternatives, not 600 euros which is a prediction of a price drop.

900EUR for an underpowered 7 Gen 4 phone is an absolute insanity.

Wonder why this thing is not compared with the S26, despite the same screen size. Yes, with the same price, S26 has half the storage, the battery is sloppy (kinda go through a business day with the target audiences tho), and the camera is quite old. But the Exyslop 2600 is still a flapship chipset and is twice as fast as the 7Gen4, the ISP is good, Samesong logo on the back, and it is still an Galaxy S with 7 years of OS update (3 battery replacements btw).

Great compact phone ruined by terrible pricing and "global shortage" problem.

Personally if I really want an oppo reno phone i would still pick the reno 14 .. it's much cheaper than the reno16 and a bit cheaper than the reno15 with the same camera setup (except the ultrawide which is better in the r16 but i don't use it that often though) similar design, display, speakers, software experience and with a better chipset actually but a bit smaller battery that still can comfortably go through a whole day of use.

At that price and they don't even have meet and greet session with Babymonster? What a rip off. What are you paying for then?

The Indian price makes more sense, although at that price, you're better off getting Samsung Galaxy S25 FE or Xiaomi 17T for actual flagship hardware.

Did GSMArena forget that Vivo V70 exists and it's comparable to this smartphone?

Goku., 05 Jul 2026Android manufacturers: Selling a phone with a mid-range processor at Apple-level prices... ... moreDo you know why there is Flagship Killer term? It is a phone that has Flagship components as well as its features which surprisingly comes with lower price than Flagship. But for this specific model, I agree with you. If you can switch to other brand, you will surely find Poco X8 Pro as a healing device

Pedzio, 04 Jul 2026Why compact phones are more expensive? I think there are compact upper midrange phones now in the market unfortunately I am not able to list them for you. It is better for you to search it on website.

When I knew the price of Poco X8 Pro I feel this Oppo's price is too expensive. What I understand if it is right, they just want the real price unveiled to mirror consumer buying style which is to wait for some time until the phone price going down. Normally 1 to 2 months. I think best price for this model is $500 judging from the SOC it is used. You may think this is too low vs the price GSMArena has informed. I don't care cause I can not still but it although Oppo agree with me. Regardless of that I found the design is good which vanishes things what people usually found concerning the design.

An upper-midranger with a flagship price shouldn't have as many compromises. Otherwise, you might as well choose one of the other options mentioned. Personally, I can't stand HyperOS, but at least Xiaomi offers a range of options (Poco X8 Pro, Pro Max, F8 Pro, 17T, 17T Pro, etc) and better value for money.
