you can turn off all ads on any poco and xiaomi phone , i dont remember when i saw ad on my poco except first day

Back then, Poco lineup using all plastic while Redmi use plastic frame but glass back. For durability, I always use softcase. It's so crap if buying so expensive phone like iPhone Pro series and Samsung Ultra but using all plastic.

Describing the selfies as "alright" seems harsh. They look excellent to me.
Also, suggesting that the X8 Pro delivers "much of the same experience" as the 17T is ridiculous. The X8 Pro has terrible cameras and its speakers are only average. All that you've compared is the chip and battery.
