Looks like Vivo has given up. My phone - 1y old Vivo t4 ultra - less than half the price of 300FE in india - has much better 10x telephoto shots that actually looks like optical - from the same 50mp 70mm 1/1.95 sensor. Looks like too much AI slop is killing vivo's camera department - i see a downgrade in 10x + shots of 300 ultra as well this year.

The phone's price went up by like 60% and now it costs more than the flagship X300. This is officially history, a FE phone costs more than the flagship one. And then they have the audacity to launch it with an inferior chipset that's worse than last year's 8 Elite. Can't forget the cherry on top, an 8mp Ultrawide Camera at €1000😑

How many normal people who are not avid photographers actually fiddle about with their phone's camera settings?

Surely they'd know as to why the photos are coming out overly saturated unless they're completely unaware of different colour modes which would seem pretty unlikely.

Really sometimes I don't understand why GSMarena do illogical choices in their camera tests like using odd colors modes and skipping important zoom shortcuts.
Their reviews are still the overall best on the internet, but flawed nevertheless because of that, and it's a bit frustrating...

Then ... moreAgree, but that's because for some weird reason GSMArena decides to shoot photos on Zeiss Vivid profile, but camera offers Zeiss Natural/Authentic/Refined or whatever they call it now, and it gives much more natural results.

The whole appeal of these upper mid range flagship killers was value and competitive pricing compared to iPhone and S series. Now they are as expensive ( or even more expensive) so I don't see the appeal anymore. Sad that they got so greedy.
