The most surprising thing in this comparison is how Honor's lowlight 3.7x (85mm) and 7.4x (170mm) photos are far superior compared to the Vivo x300 pro's corresponding lowlight 3.5x (85mm) and 7x (170mm) photos. I didn't expect that. Also didn't expect OPPO to do so well with the telephoto in daytime.
Please please do the same comparisson for the base models, there are many people who are tired of huge phones but want a good camera experience.
can’t go wrong with any of these…
if you are looking for a certain color science, vibe, then that would be the time to definitely pick one…
the good thing is, you can pick a certain mode or tweak a setting that could match your taste…
when using magic3, i use the “manual” mode but let the setting on auto if i want to have less aggressive hdr…
for x200 pro, i use zeiss/natural, it is not as natural as what i get on xperia, but it does tone down saturation…
this can also be true for midrangers, it is no longer surprising to have a good camera output from midrangers, nowadays… it is already satisfying, unless one is always swayed about what metrics and tech influencers say…

The Oppo and Vivo at leasr beats any camera phones in the market right now. Not even the S25U or 17PM is in the same league.
A bit hard to say without knowing what these places and people actually look like irl but the Oppo seems to be the one which finds the best balance between reality and punchy colors
For me, it's the Vivo, by far. The most capable low-light shooter. And shines even more when shooting low-light motion pictures. I saw some pics of freestyle motocross and ski jumping, and those were absolutely fabulous.
So expensive phones, so good hardware and so bad photos 😏 Midrange phones with a GCam and good settings give much better results.
Shamrock Sean, 06 Jan 2026Vivo legendary?? I'd hardly call their camera settings legendary 😂 as if the whole world knows I missed the word Zeiss 😂
Octagon, planar and other stuff. You know, those classic lenses.

The 15T Pro is a sub flagship/flagship killer. The Xiaomi 17 Pro would be the correct contender along with these, but that doesn't have a global version yet.
@GSMArena, you even refer to the Full Honor review in this article and yet it is nowhere to be found. We are waiting for it eagerly.
Please add some photos of the moon, if possible by turning off the AI enhancements.
I hope GSMArena will do some portrait photos in night-time as well in the future (both indoor and outdoor).
hey Arena team, would be nice to know which settings/presets did you use? In particular, Vivo has lots of different modes which can drastically change outcome, so please add that info to the review! Cheers🍻
I find the Honor's photos very blurry.
Also, the texture of the leaves looks very artificial.
Looking forward to the Honor review.
PatDat, 06 Jan 2026Honor color science and processing is clearly worse than other two.As always.
My wife's Honor Magic 6 Pro outputs portraits of zombies instead of portraits of humans. Have you ever seen bunch of zombies on the children playground? I have seen a lot on the photos.
Just as photos of people on her new iPhone 17 Pro Max always look warm and a little yellowish (it is nice, overall), on the Honor Magic 6 Pro they are always cold and blueish-greenish (like invisible zombie-mode switcher is always on).
