Funny for all the criticisms this phone gets it's still better than literally every other phone at this price point to me. I got it for 556€ with the 120W charger and Buds 4. I'm sure it'll last me at least 4 years without giving me battery issues as opposed to my current 4-5 year old phone that I need to charge 2-3 times a day

Urban areas (towns, cities and even many villages) have other 4g bands so it's not likely an issue but in more rural areas that only have band 20 it may be an issue. Band 20 has wider range so it's the band that's more typically used in more remote areas

Maybe you're referring to 8 eliteYes it’s the same some call it the 4th gen elite to continue the naming structure and now we have the 5th gen elite and 5th gen,last years variant for the weaker one was the gen 4s,Qualcomm keep changing their mind on the naming but the 8 elite from last year was the 4th version of the gen naming structure which started with the gen 1 when the snapdragon 888 stopped and ended the 8 series,

is this worth it for 550 euro with charger and case? feels like a good deal. Usable camera (from one plus 8t and I am satisfied enough), great battery, great chip. Cheaper oneplus 15 basically

Oneplus are great on paper specs but real world reliability is terrible. I owned an OP3 in which main camera autofocus stopped working (fortunately 2 weeks before warranty expired), an OP5 with battery draining issues almost from day 1, and an OP9 that just a week ago was a victicm of the infamous well known issue of vertical green lines in the amoled screen. Despite being a well known problem they refuse to fix it because it's out of warranty. Tbh I don't blame them, I blame myself for showing trust in a company that does not desearve it. Lesson learned. Hope you can learn from my mistakes too.

People are importing more and more from China so next step for Europe, US etc is raise tariffs, import taxes etc so they try to stop chinese brands.
Came in the news, Europe is putting an extra tax on every item under 150 starting July next year.

Yet the manufacturers are preparing rising of prices due to memory shortages and we get something like this phone. Same goes for the upcoming Pixel 10a. It will get a price rise but not the upgrade from the previous 9a. Pure greed.

Ryan47, 18 Dec 2025All the bands I need are available with my Lebara sim,I don’t even enable 5g it’s pointless in... moreIt's missing band 20 though and band 7 (used for 4g+ in larger cities in the UK) which are used by vodafone and lebrara uses Vodafone's network so it should be using those bands as well. Of course 4g will still work on other bands E.G. band 3 and 1. Definitely though the 4g connection won't be as stable across the whole of the UK in general compared to a phone that supports all the 4g bands (for example if you were driving across the country it's likely that there would be more drops to 2g without all of the bands). For many people that are not picky about reception though it won't matter especially if they live in an area that has good coverage of other 4g and 5g bands.
