I’ve had this phone for a couple of months now, and it’s great for long gaming sessions. But when it comes to poorly optimized games, the phone runs really hot. Sometimes I even get a 30% drop in FPS because of the heat.

Other than that pick iQoo15, or just wait for 2026 iQoo.

From my experience, it's good for overall aspect, the better gaming experience with build in chip, balance and stability in Camera, Software, Hardware, etc. But, particularly in some cases, if you use this phone for long gaming with high performance intensity, the phone is running hot at overall backdoor and could make you feel uncomfortable. It might be the VC is effective and large (8K mm²) and the 8EG5 itself perform for performance rather than efficient and balance.

its honestly a bit incredible just how poorly the 8eg5 performs in the iqoo15. its functionally tied with even half decent 8g5 implementations.

I have been using high end model 16/512 since 2 months and it heats up a lot during BGMI game. The temp shows 39.6 C mostly , but it's very very troublesome to hold in hand , feels like a hot brick ..

Why show the underwhelming x10 and not x6 samples if you think they're better !?
This is so crucial, I don't understand why some of the most important telephoto zoom factors that we all want to see...are not shown in the reviews

If the prices are similar, this iqoo feels like a better choice than poco f8 ultra.
Especially if you're into gaming, you don't want your phone to throttle down to less than half in just 20-30 minutes.
Now, if only GSMarena did another test of both phones using external fan to see which one can last longer before throttling hard, it would be very interesting.

I want to know if the throttle differenc... moremainly different : camera, charging speed, material, and OS (if you wish a simple one, go for oneplus, otherwise Iqoo, btw, both of em under same head parent company (OPPO x VIVO = one family). Just oneplus is more customable.

Everything... moreJust a phrasing nitpick, but I think the "performance drop" is in fact caused by "throttling", especially considering temperature. Nevertheless, these results aren't too bad, almost in line with those of GSMA's tests for iQOO 11.
