Really wish you guys would change up your camera tests. Moving subjects and low light portrait is where the Chinese brands trash Samsung, Apple, etc.

Wild, 24 Apr 2026They posted tons of photos and comparisons, when through all the main categories, and you'... moreThe reason is so obvious I should not need to point it out.
But here goes. Since there are a couple of phones able to do Ultrawide panoramas worth having, and because one day you too might like to try your hand at seeing with such a device, I heartily recommend buying such a machine, and I cannot recommend buying any machine any longer that cannot do ultrawide panoramas.
I do have several old such machines, that can do everything else as well, or even a lot better than the current iPhones can, and I tend to use these because unless i want to do ultrawide panoramas they give better results of a higher image quality than the 12 megapixel resolution that is all the quad bayer 48MP on an iPhone has, and one diodes great video as well. And they can ALL do normal wide panoramas with their main lenses like an iPhone. But they cannot do Ultrawide pans.
So IF GSMArena had continued to provide us with reviews samples of the panoramas new phones they review can do (because they used to give us samples of new phones panoramas) we could better make informed use/ purchasing decisions, than we can at the moment. OK?

If they post details on those features, great, but they have no obligation to do so, and complaining that they aren't doing a good job reviewing these phones if they don't cover every tiny aspect is ridiculous. What's next, complaining that they aren't reviewing the beauty filters of each phone since they are popular with the masses?

Dear GSM Arena, what is the point of claiming to post reviews without now ever including details of Panorama abilities & Performance as you used to?
Why cant I read which phones and which of their lenses do panoramas/ Why cant we all become informed as to which phones are able to make sweep panoramas with their Ultrawide lens as well as their Main Cam lens?
These are no longer full reviews at all, as they leave out this vital ability only phones now possess. Help us choose wisely please

It's disappointing to see a technical review of this scale completely ignore the Dolby Vision gap between these flagships. While Vivo has stepped up and embraced the global standard for cinematic video, Samsung and Huawei are still stubbornly lagging behind. Samsung’s refusal to support Dolby Vision—not just in their phones, but across their entire high-end TV and display ecosystem—is a massive technical knockout that reviewers often dismiss as a 'color preference.' It's not a preference; it's a lack of industry-standard dynamic metadata that iPhone, Pixel, and now Vivo users enjoy. No matter how many megapixels or 'APB codecs' you add, relying on the niche HDR10+ or proprietary formats keeps Samsung and Huawei in the second tier of professional mobile cinematography. Reviewers need to stop treating HDR standards as a 'hidden detail' and call out this licensing stubbornness.

Xiaomi has blurry oversharped photos at night on all cameras. Huawei preserves most details, doesn't oversharp and have much wider dynamic range.

“Interesting,…..but stupid” as my fav character from Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-in would have said, because these phones make panoramas, and this important aspect is not so much as even mentioned. For indoor group shots for landscapes and just for the sheer fun of it, sweep panoramas are the breath of life from the smartphone stable, and the one thing they do better than a pukka digital camera even can. So I have to ask why, because much as I enjoy your reviews almost more than anybody else’s phone freviews, you persist in undermining their very existence by ignoring what they can do best. So?

Two things is what I'm missing from otherwise excellent article and good job done:

                                1. Human subjects, particularly in mid-tele or tele, where AI repainting can reveal how artificial or successful it is, because on geometric shapes Vivo nailed it, but organic textures and shapes like faces is a different story.

                                2. Regarding natural shapes, we have greenery on some scenes, but in case of extreme telephoto difference is so huge, but the problem is that us (readers) do not know what ground zero looks really like. In particular, I'm talking about are: gsmarena_11723.jpg , gsmarena_12663.jpg , 13693.jpg , gsmarena_14693 , gsmarena_15693.jpg on daylight tele / extreme tele. What I wish we were provided with was a closer shot of the same scene, where we could see if the, for example, Vivo's reimaged plant bush really resables the real thing or is it completely fake. Other phones are different in that regard. Also, there's a weird horizontal lines texture on Vivo's sample on the far right tree trunk (or pillar?), which is non-existent on 4 other devices and have a more natural matching texture. This would tell us how fake or close to reality they are with extreme zoom. Vivo does the best job when it comes to geometric shapes and text, but I am not so much convinced with organic stuff at times.

In my opinion Or a Request, you guys should post a Blog/Post on your page that explains about smartphone camera modules (kind of a smartphone camera guide).

                                  like what is the meaning of megapixels....., f1.8, f1.9, f2.0, etc... , 12mm , 10mm, etc.... , 1.0µm, 1.2µm, etc .... and any other specification/feature or technical term idk....

inshort, all thing above mentioned things, what does it means... how it can impact a picture or video quality and what buyer should focus on while buying a smartphone....

because smartphone makers play around with the emotion of customer with this numbers as well as technical terms which not everyone is aware about.

example:- sometimes or i'd say more often, a smartphone of 20k has 108mp primary camera module but pics and videos are not even close enough when compared to a smartphone with price of 40k which has 50 mp camera module.... (also some times wise versa)

often many customers end up being unhappy.

hence, a proper guide of smartphone camera modules and sensor will be wonderful.

The S25 Ultra camera is good enough for me to rely on it as my main camera. In fact it so good that I gave away my $700 Nikon D3200 SLR camera, $800 18mm to 300mm lens, and my $300 70mm to 300mm lens to my sister and brother in-law.
