Anonymous, 26 Jul 2025Man, these are damn ugly watches... With sub-par battery life. Sub 2 days, really? Give it two... moreI've been using it for almost a year, and the battery life has improved since I started. Of course, it's still... I don't even know, because my daily routine doesn't allow it to drop below 10%, but it will probably last two days. It's a satisfactory lifespan for me, considering what it offers. Are there better watches in this regard? Certainly. But so what? I've been in the Samsung ecosystem for years, and I love their system, so despite their shortcomings, I'm always ultimately satisfied with their hardware.

I've been using this model for almost a year. Its only objective drawback is a weak battery, but subjectively, this doesn't bother me at all, as I've developed a routine for using specific devices over the years. I start the day by putting on the watch with the battery at around 80% (4:30 a.m.) and all functions enabled except the AOD - I find it unnecessary and irritating. Then I leave for work and return home around 3:00 p.m. The battery then shows around 60%. I put the watch on the charger because I generally don't wear it at the computer or at home because I don't need it. Around 6:00-8:00 p.m., I put the watch on at 100% charge and sleep with it until morning, where it's back at around 80% battery, and so the daily cycle repeats. I don't need a larger battery for everyday use, but a larger one would certainly be an advantage, allowing for greater flexibility. It's up to you. I'm happy with the current state.
After 6 months of usage, I may declare this a shitty product because of a ridiculously short battery life. If you turn on moderately some health and fitness features it will last 30-40 hours at most. In sports mode and with gsm modem on, I don't think it can hold more than 8 or 10 hours. Samsung, this is a watch, not laptop.
Everything else is good, with some software bugs that didn't get resolved yet, what a shame.
A Teacher, 08 Aug 2025May I ask which can last 5 days? OnePlus Watch? And 10 days? Garmin i believe? The WearO... moreMy humble/affordable Motorola watch 70 lasts a week long with a single battery charge, and the software despite basic does the job. Amazfit smart watches are also quite reliable, renowned when it comes to the battery performance.

And 10 days? Garmin i believe?
The WearOS support apps downloading from Play Store. Youtube videos and full GM runs on the WearOSes. WearOS is built from android OS. Therefore Samsung and Google smartwatches are really resized smartphones and have different mission from a Garmin.
Can I suggest you to read up on WearOS vs propietary OS smartwatches (Garmin).

I am very disappointed by the downgrade of the screen of the Classic version! As I had almost all the versions of Samsung Galaxy watches, I am still using the Watch 6 Classic, because in the 7'th generation they pulled out the Classic, and now at 8'th when reintroduced again, it has the biggest downgrade ever, the screen is smaller! So, in a world of upgrades, you receive a downgrade! And not ordinary, but the most important of all: the screen size. When this Classic watch is targeting the real men above 30-40 years, when the reasons we buy this watch are mainly two: the big size and screen because is manly and we also need big screen as we start having problems with near vision, which is a general problem for men above 40. So, this is a huge disappointment and because of that I will stay with Galaxy Watch 6 and will not buy the new “upgrade”! Also considering migrating to Huawei because of this!
Waiting for the slim
Classic Samsung doesn't bring Bluetooth 6.0 to their watches after a whole year release, let alone 5.4.

This Galaxy 8 seties lauch is a disaster. Who would want to purchase those fugly watches that needs to be recharged EVERY f00ckn day?
I was very disappointed in the Galaxy Frontier 3 watch. Very rapid degradation of battery capacity during its active use - after six months of use, the watch lasted less than a day of use (3-4 hours max.), which is unacceptable.
Watch 6 & 7 owner here. For me there is absolutely nothing enticing me to upgrade. Even the band looks like a downgrade, going back to the watch 6 appearance.
I have hereby a question to GSM Arena editors. Why dont you eveer look at and review any Garmin watches?
galaxy watch ultra was already ugly, and samsung decided to make all their new watches look like it. maybe they just want to kill the galaxy watch series all together
