These smartphones have a flaw: they freeze the screen when taking photos.
Destinesia, 10 Aug 2025The cn rom is by far better and less buggy, I can't image there would be any compatibilit... morereally? that sounds too good to be true tbh i saw some guy's x fold3 pro global vs cn rom thing or maybe it was the x100 pro and i felt like the chinese rom is nicer looking and snappier but there's a high chance of random Chinese creeping in or some apps not working.
I mean even on my S22 Ultra Snapdragon edition some apps dont work or crash and stuff. If a Samsung phone, something that everyone says is stable is weird and unstable for me, I cant imagine how the CN ROM would be man
This is just me tho, most people wouldnt notice or care but im quite nitpicky, especially with expensive things like this.
Destinesia, 10 Aug 2025Nah I have cn rom X fold 3 pro and has no issues atall, even work apps and work vpns work with... moreyeah i've heard similar things from others but you never know, sometimes some card types dont work, im not gonna take a plunge cus of that but i wish i could.... The X200 Ultra looks like such a great deal....
ua82, 29 Jul 2025Not the global version unfortunately, don't want the Chinese ROM I'd strongly recommend the cn rom, not only id it like half a grand cheaper but also is a better os, with more features, and nothing doesn't work BC it's china rom
jiyen235, 30 Jul 2025less buggier interface, better compatibility with everything else. The cn rom is by far better and less buggy, I can't image there would be any compatibility issues, maybe android auto but never tried, all other apps, banks, g pay, office suite etc work fine, some music apps (e.g. YouTube music) dont utilize the origin os music ui, but that's not a big deal, and if you want it that bad you can pretty easily change the package name to one of the supported music apps and then it'll work
jiyen235, 31 Jul 2025still not gonna take the dive when important apps require me to use my phone and stuff. Eve... moreNah I have cn rom X fold 3 pro and has no issues atall, even work apps and work vpns work with no issue
I use the device since 10 days and i'm very satisfied. For me the results of the camera are very well, especially the Zoom and macro photos. I know vivo devices, at last i've used the x200 pro. Of course, the pictures of that mobile are better, but it's no foldable, Not so small, and so it owns bigger camera lenses. And as i know vivo, they send often updates to their smartphones, so i think, the camera will be optimized more and more as the device itself. It has been released before a few weeks, so you can expect much more in the near future. I'm happy with this foldable every day and i think, many of the users, as i read, feel like me.
Didn't expect such bad quality of photos. I owned a Vivo X50 pro+ whose photographic performance was stellar, so I was very much tempted by this Vivo X fold 5, after positive reviews of Vivo X fold 3 pro... but those photos are crappy in the shadows, and burnt in the highlights, it's a no-go :-( I have to save for a Honor Magic V5 and hope its "Aimage" is not as intrusive as last year's.
in z fold 7 review you said "vivo X Fold5 as an option, which outperforms the Samsung when it comes to charging, battery life and offers a slightly better camera system overall."
But in I x fold5 review it's says "The Z Fold7 has certain advantages, including the newer and more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite, seven major OS updates, and an arguably more reliable camera setup"
So camera system on Samsung's camera is more reliable but vivo's is arguably better?
Just me, 30 Jul 2025I had 0 compatibility issues and from what I've read OriginOS is less buggier than FuntouchOSstill not gonna take the dive when important apps require me to use my phone and stuff.
Even samsung phones struggle at times so ofc chinese roms will struggle more.
Lister , 30 Jul 2025Much nicer than most foldables IMO. I still wouldn't buy one. exactly, foldable is not my thing too! i think about flips btw.
Bawsross, 29 Jul 2025Nothing about integration with Apple watch?? Its one of the selling features of this phone…None of that, just the workbench feature and plain funtouch os. And according to ben’s gadget, all those apple features in the origin version cannot be used outside china cause you need chinese apple account, and it requires chinese phone number
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2025you can buy this for 1100E and is overpriced, but zfold for 2200E with 4400mah is not overpric... more4400mah last longer than 6000mah. So what is so bad about 4400mah? People does loves paper numbers but not real life results.
Much nicer than most foldables IMO. I still wouldn't buy one.

Just me, 29 Jul 2025And what? Why would you get 1.5x more expensive global version. Everything works just fine for meless buggier interface, better compatibility with everything else.
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2025you can buy this for 1100E and is overpriced, but zfold for 2200E with 4400mah is not overpric... morewhen did i say fold7 wasnt overpriced?
Though i'll say, if Samsung had their Note20Ultra level camera processing and included an S Pen Cover in the box, I'd have considered that phone worth it. Battery is the most important part but sometimes the other parts of a phone add up to a better phone.
As it stands though, the Z Fold7 is the best Samsung Fold yet after the Z Fold2 but the competition has not only caught up but surpassed them in all the phone aspects and funnily enough Samsung is only better at cameras cus Chinese manufacturers seem to forget to optimise their cameras for anything that isn't a Pro/Ultra
Also, i didnt say the chinese price is overpriced, i said the global one is. At 1500 euros or lower this makes sense but this cuts too many corners to be worth its asking price.
Red, 29 Jul 2025Chinese version lacks of lte bands, so no thanks. Excuse me... Is it a particular frequency band of LTE you are specifically referring to or are you claiming the QC SM8650 not supporting LTE?
chillthecat, 29 Jul 2025Where did you get the device for under 1,000 euros?Have a look average dad tech web it's really good and trusted and most time cheaper then wonda is well
Is that "4.3mm" real millimetres or the usual AliExpress millimetres?
