No biometric security options isn’t great in 2025 but other that this looks like a great tablet.

Will instead wait for possible OnePlus Pad 3 Pro to be 14 inches or even bigger, OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus is dope with 16,000 pressure levels sensitivity!

Got the 16/512 version for 450 eur. This is an amazing device! Super snappy, no hiccups at all. Battery life is great. Display is bright with excellent colors, I don't miss the OLED at all. Stylus makes a big difference in usage enjoyment and keeping the screen clean.

Build quality is excellent. I can easily see how this device will last 5+ years.

But the one plus tab 3 has some major issues

                    1. DMR Certificate issue, content on 3rd party apps will not play in HD or FHD (Netflix or prime)

                    2. Floating app issue, the screen flickers when you try to use the stylus on the floating tabs

This tablet don't even have NFC or GPS or let alone audio jack lmao. What a waste of rare earth minerals and other precious resources.

NEXT e-trash please. I am waiting and I don't have all day...

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2025alright Sherlock then how do you explain that phones without audio jack need battery replaceme... moreThis is not a valid observation, because there are millions of possibilities that could affect a battery life.
If you want a valid measurement take 2 or more of the same model and check battery degradation with/without a jack component

Also someone wrote a lenghty post about why a passive jack consumes no power without it being used, its true, seriously it's basic physics (electrotechnology)

There are a lot of scientific material related to Ohm's laws, start with there

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2025Perhaps I didn't express myself good enough or you just misunderstood me. What I mean is ... moreYou expressed yourself very clearly and I definitely understood you correctly.
You were proven wrong; now you are trying to backpedal and change the goalposts.
                                    Unfortunately, you're STILL WRONG.

                                    A basic USB-C to 3.5 mm jack doesn't consume any power - it's just a mechanical adapter.
The only case in which it may draw EXTRA power is if the dongle is an Active dongle, which means it contains and uses its own DAC and Amplifier(which actually both improves the audio quality & makes it louder), and uses digital audio, which means the signal is retained in digital form for longer, which actually preserves signal quality.

The extra power being used here is because of the DAC & Amp, not because of the USB-C form factor. Basic or passive USB-C dongles will not consume any extra power.

Your phone uses its own DAC and Amp in case of a passive dongle or 3.5 mm headphone jack, so it's using power anyway. An Active USB-C dongle just delays that conversion by containing and using its own DAC and Amp. Understand that using an active dongle doesn't mean using 2 sets of DACs and Amps; only a single set is used; it's just now in the dongle rather than the phone. The difference in power draw(if there is any) is negligible, and do remember you are getting louder and better quality audio as a result.

I will quote what you said: "What I mean is the converter dongle adapter uses EXTRA energy to do the conversion while the classic 3,5 mm audio jack does not need to waste precious energy because there is nothing to convert since the audio is native."

The first part of your statement I already proved wrong, now I will disprove the second.

The truth is literally the opposite of what you said. The native format is DIGITAL. Electricity is DIGITAL. Sound waves are ANALOG. Like I said above, active USB-C dongles actually keep the signal digital(which is the native form) for longer.

All headphones and speakers convert the digital signal to analog when they produce sound because sound is an analog wave. There is ALWAYS CONVERSION TAKING PLACE. It doesn't matter whether or not you are using a 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB-C, wireless or anything else. The audio always has to be converted from a digital signal to an analog one. This conversion happens at the end-point(the headphones or speaker), so this conversion ALWAYS happens, and like I said above, it happens no matter what connection you are using.
