On the other hand, Nothing is still a young brand and needs every profit it can. For cheaper offerings they have the CMF lineup and those are very good as well.
Anyway, now that I have used this phone for a much longer period as a daily driver I'm still very fond of this one, probably even fonder than all other Nothing phones I have owned till now. Everything works as expected given the hardware. It's fast enough, fluid enough, everyday tasks works like a charm, some gaming (but I'm not a reference as I'm no heavy gamer), the pics I shoot are more decent than what I have with some other devices (but then again I'm no photo savvy person so no reference either), the battery does almost two days with moderate usage and leaves me with 30% left at 11 PM with heavy usage. Everything works fine. The only thing that bothers me is the screen aspect ratio, I hate 20/9 and prefer wider, less tall screens but that's only my problem. Many others like 20:9 and I knew this upfront and bought it anyway.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2026It's actually known that charging speeds after 80W or so barely make a difference, while ... moreThat’s because at a 120W rating, the device heats up so quickly that it has to reduce the charging speed to a much safer rate after a short time. That’s why anything above 80W might not make too much of a difference. But since people care about paper specs, that’s what they get.

3 years of OS updates is outrageous. other than that, great budget phone once the price drops slightly
It is an interesting phone but not at the asking price
300€ is a reasonable price

Carol-, 16 Mar 2026Right, I mean it should have at least fire-inducing charging speeds. Without that, people just... moreIt's actually known that charging speeds after 80W or so barely make a difference, while lower ones do. Is 5 minutes really a save at 120W, or would you rather go for 80W then? I'd say latter.
But it's true. I've had an older flagship Xiaomi once and it heated up quickly when charging more than 15W. The way they handled heat was just absolutely horrendous back then. Though it lost its percentage only a noticable bit slower than if charging slowly and normally, without active use.
On the other hand, I've tried out the Nothing Phone (3a) as well, seeing that it charges 50W. Charging from about 20-100% takes fairly quick time, even with only 20W charging. Times vary between how much percentage I have during that quick charging period, but without active usage the time hangs between 30 - 45 mins. It doesn't heat up either, staying cool.
Zoltan, 01 Apr 2026Hi there, if you have any thoughts about the cameras, would you care to share it please. I rea... moreSadly enough I'm not a camera centric kind of user. If photos look good enough it's fine. I don't really care about how many pixels there are or how good it looks if enlarged (with printing in mind). I do care however to have clear pictures taken with not blur due to movement and I do care having a camera that shoots shots instantly without having to wait and this is the case for the few ones I have taken till now. These were all during daytime so I still have to see what it does during night time. Looking at reviews the cameras are a bit more than OK but not mindbogglingly good so if you're really into content creation or you want to have the greatest picture quality then I would say, look elsewhere.

I'm the proud owner of the 4a Pro since a good week now. While I'm still discovering all features and quirks of this phone I must say that what I have used the phone for till now is without any complaints. While the chip-set isn't reflecting the "pro" moniker it is certainly very capable and power efficient. I can do more than a full day of heavy (really heavy) usage and about two days of moderate usage. The phone is extremely well made (love the uni-body design) and I'm very please about the fact that they have moved the essential key to the left upper side and that you need to click twice to activate it (a thing that annoyed me on my previous Nothing phone as it was poorly positioned and could easily be activated accidentally). If I would have one complaint (but it's actually something I knew upfront) then it's the 20:9 aspect ratio. I'm more of a 19,5:9 guy.
