The Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra and 17T Pro are getting the Android 17 update now
One of our readers wrote to us saying that their Xiaomi 17 has received the Android 17 update. Confusingly, Xiaomi calls it HyperOS 3, which is the same HyperOS version as the Android 16-based software, but this is one of the very first phones to get stable Android 17.
The Pixel series down to the Pixel 6 received stable Android 17 back in mid-June. Other manufacturers are still doing betas.
Anyway, this particular reader hails from India and received firmware with an OS version of 3.0.331.0.XPCINXM.C10 and with a June 5 security patch. That said, we’ve heard that the rollout is happening in Europe and other markets too.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is receiving this same update as well, of course. Interestingly, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is getting the flagship treatment and is also receiving the upgrade to version 17. However, its sibling, the Xiaomi 17T isn’t – if you have a vanilla 17T that has updated to Android 17 already, do let us know!
According to our reader, the update presented itself as a simple security patch, though the hefty 7.2GB download size made that claim dubious – indeed, it included a whole new Android version, even if the HyperOS version is technically the same.
So, if your Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra or 17T Pro is bugging you about a security patch, do check it out – you may be one of the first to try out the latest Android version.

My Xiaomi 14 works fine with WiFi7. Not sure if it's an issue with newer Xiaomi devices tho.
