Apple's back to school promo offers gift cards if you buy a MacBook Pro or Air, iPad Pro or Air

Apple recently enacted a major price hike for its core products including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air and iPad Pro. And other devices, of course, but we’re calling out these four specifically because they are part of Apple’s back to school promo.

The campaign will run for a limited time (until August 27) and is only for students and educators. And no, the MacBook Neo is not part of it, unfortunately. So far, we’ve seen this program go live in the US, Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan. Do check your local Apple.com, the promo may have gone live since we last looked.

With the promo, you get a gift card for a not insignificant amount – check the exact number in the table below. You can also use the links on the left to jump straight to the relevant store.

Note that the following countries have a different promo: China, India, Mexico, Singapore and Vietnam. There you will get a free pack of four AirTags or a small discount on select AirPods with the purchase of a MacBook or iPad.

The most important thing is that to qualify for the promo, you need to be attending a public or private higher education institution (or be the student's parent) or be an employee of a school. This, of course, varies by country, so make sure to look at your local T&Cs.
