The iQOO 15 Ultra will launch in China next month, and images iQOO shared recently revealed its design and color options. These images also showed the iQOO 15 Ultra's right frame with touch-sensitive shoulder triggers, which we now know will have haptic feedback.
This revelation comes through a Weibo post by iQOO's product manager, who also said that the iQOO 15 Ultra's touch-sensitive shoulder triggers will have a 600Hz sampling rate and rely on two independent control chips to minimize latency. Additionally, the triggers will be sweat-resistant, and iQOO has used an "anti-sweat" algorithm to offer the best possible experience to the phone's users.
The product manager also explained the advantages of these touch-sensitive shoulder triggers over traditional button triggers. For starters, a linear motor will simulate a press to help with consistency even after long-term use.
Second, touch-sensitive triggers will have an "almost unlimited" lifespan compared to traditional triggers, as they won't experience mechanical wear and tear. The touch-sensitive triggers will sit seamlessly within the phone's frame, reducing the chances of dirt accumulation. Moreover, these triggers won't face latency issues like traditional triggers.
The iQOO 15 Ultra has two shoulder triggers on its right frame
If you are wondering why iQOO is launching the iQOO 15 Ultra with shoulder triggers, one reason is that they improve the gaming experience. Furthermore, some games, like FPS games, have several controls on-screen, and shoulder triggers that support presets and combinations make those games easier for users to play.
Moreover, iQOO's product manager said that iQOO users love gaming, and the iQOO 15 Ultra is designed for gamers.
Previous rumors claimed the iQOO 15 Ultra will feature an active cooling fan and is likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC under the hood. More details about it should surface in the coming weeks.

With phones like this, could you possibly program these triggers so that they press a selected space within the touchscreen? Or are they only recpgnized as an extra keyboard, XInput, etc? I never got to try on of these.
If the triggers aren't ultrasonic like the ones on the ROG Phone 6 or 7, that’s a dealbreaker. In my experience, ultrasonic triggers are the best; anything else just doesn't compare And as one user here said and forgot to mention is se...
