This is not mathematics, where 1+1=2.
You can't determine exactly how long 100mA is. Because 100mA, for example, can be 1 minute of heavy gaming, 3 minutes of video recording, 5 minutes of video clip watched via 5G mobile data, 15 minutes of writing an email, 20 minutes of listening to music with the screen off, 40 minutes in standby mode. And this will be true for exactly one specific phone model with exactly one specific hardware, which has exactly one specific consumption. Even for two phones of the same model with the same phone settings, these 100mA can give you different times for the same things, since there is no way to produce 2 completely identical products, even if you have the most alien technology in the world.
That's why I told you to look without units of measurement, but simply look at how much 2 (or 4) is out of 100. And that's nothing, a statistical error. There's no way you can feel it and notice it in everyday life. That thing with the rice wasn't a joke on my part, but an attempt to make you visually imagine the things that are talked about in the article from the link.

You just throw in some random 24 hours, of which you say you're a loss of ~1 hour.
But things don't happen like that.
Let's take a random large 5000mAh battery.
For example, let's say that in standby mode it will power the phone for 60 hours and in load mode it will power the phone for 7 hours SoT.
These 100mAh (2 percent of the capacity) are not 1 hour out of 24 hours, if your phone can handle that much in mixed mode.
These 100mAh will be about 5-10 minutes in medium load mode, in heavy gaming mode maybe even less.
In standby mode, you will get 1 hour, but not out of 24, but out of 60.
About mixed load - standby and average load on the phone, it will last you about 5-10-15-20 minutes and it again depends on countless things - way of use, phone settings, humidity, temperature and whatever else you can think of. So yes, in 24 hours of mixed use, you won't even notice those 10-15 minutes.
That's why I told you to imagine what 2 or 4 units out of 100 are, and not to fantasize about unrealistic things. But you clearly didn't do it.

I did not say anything about standby mode. If your phone lasts 24h in *standby* mode, so yes, you will have +1h of *standby* mode. If you are a not heavy phone user, and your phone lasts for 24h of *regular usage*, then you will have +1h or *regular usage*.
That's what "capacity" means. Are you trying to disagree with that? Then please be more clear.

According to the study you provided, the difference is quite noticeable: 2-4% depending on device. If the battery lasts for 24h, +4% is +1h.

2) Here's a little explanation of how things work:
1. Why do Si/C collect more energy?
- In graphite: To hold 1 atom of lithium, 6 atoms of carbon (\(LiC_{6}\)) are needed. This requires a lot of space and weight.
- In silicon: A single atom of silicon can chemically bond with 4.4 atoms of lithium (\(Li_{15}Si_4\)). The storage efficiency increases by nearly 10 times at the atomic level.
2. Why do they charge faster without being damaged?
- When fast charging a regular Li-Ion, the ions "get stuck" in front of the graphite and turn into hard metal needles (dendrites) that pierce the battery.
- In Si/C, the silicon acts as a chemical "sponge", it instantly fuses with the incoming ions. Since the surrounding carbon matrix provides empty micro-cavities, the silicon nanoparticles can expand and contract inside them without tearing the structure of the anode.
3. Why are Si/C safer?
-Since there is no formation of lithium dendrites on the surface of the anode, the risk of internal self-ignition or sudden loss of capacity (as happens with old batteries after 1-2 years of fast charging) is practically eliminated.
