It's okay because iPhones only scroll at 80Hz anyway. No wonder they have better battery life šŸ˜‚

See? That's the solution - more competition, not crying about data centers. We just need more product than the demand, so give it 1-2 more years and RAM prices will go down.

ScrappyGaymer, 27 Jul 2026WHAT? How DARE Apple have people pay $1200+ for an Iphone and make such a compromise! This is ... moreGuys; shouldn't have to say this but the first paragraph was a joke. iPhones cost way more than they should be regardless of cheaper parts or price hikes. I'm sorry some of you don't understand that.

potato4k, 27 Jul 2026Is it a compromise? Did you actually read the article?Reading the article still yielded the same results. You pay for the shiny little apple logo on the back of your phone. You can get a 16 Pro Max for like $700 at the lowest from a reliable seller right now used. That's a very still capable phone for hundreds off of it's original flagship pricing. But ofc people are too lazy to look and find that out themselves.

potato4k, 27 Jul 2026You didn't read the article at all, did you? When the price of the phone is somehow increasing I don't see much of a pro side. Especially seeing as Apple COULD take a small loss at the cost of their consumers paying less for the newest iPhone.

justasmile, 27 Jul 2026Did you read the article fully?Just did. Somehow the price of the phone goes up even cutting costs. I was right. Not the year to buy an 18. It's never a good year to buy the newest phone at full price anyways. I'll stick to my used devices thanks.

I Know; I Know; RAM; Storage; wah wah wah all these Billion dollar conglomerates are complaining about the same thing except for companies like Nintendo.

They got it down to $66 for a flagship AMOLED dropped from $100? Wow, AMOLED are so cheap these days... Meanwhile, foldables came out 7 years ago but have never been cheap, because the whole point is a scam.

If Apple are going to cheap out on components then what is the point in paying the premium for the brand? They keep using worse and worse grade suppliers to meet a price point. They used to use only top tier Korean and Japanese screens for example years ago.
