If Apple launches at 1699 it will make Samsung look silly. If they charge more than 1999 it will cause Apple to look dumb

I bought the new Huawei wide foldable a couple of months ago as a 2nd phone. I use it just for books, YouTube and movies. My main phone is the s25 ultra and there may be a temptation to trade it in. But supposedly Xiaomi is releasing their wide fold next month so I'm in no rush. The format is very useful. They could even go a little bigger if they make it thin enough. The Huawei is a little too thick and unfolding it is a little clunky. Let's be real: This format should have been around for ages but they hated to destroy their tablet market so they made phones too skinny to do anything useful on and bizarre square foldables that no one wanted. One handed operation is the biggest wankfest BS ever and we all know what you're using that other hand for. The timing is unfortunate. I don't think the average person has enough spare money to buy a new high end phone

Feem, 22 Jul 2026And then they’re going to wonder why iPhones have more market share in the US than them.At time of your comment, iPhone Foldables continue to hold 0% market share.
These prices are ridiculous, but I'd be shocked if Apple came in below them.
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2026Remember, there's a ongoing Public Class Action Lawsuit for them exploiting the RAM-AI Scandal. The suit is basically meaningless. The plaintiffs have made unsubstantiated claims at the 3 biggest RAM producers, accusing them of reducing production of older RAM to make newer bandwidth RAM for datacenters / AI, and that intentionally made the price go up.
Even if the suit is allowed to go to court, and even if they produce evidence to back up the allegations, in the US, phone purchasers will get a flier in the mail that says "have you bought a phone from 2022-2026? You may be entitled to money". You'll get $25 after signing away your right to file your own suit, and the lawyers involved will get $798 billion. Then the RAM producers will raise prices to pay off the losses from the suit.
very weak phones expensive but you get less definitely the fold wide the biggest disappointment thick heavy battery nit SI cameras weak...!
