Since iPhone Pros already crossed the $1000 mark, imo an extra $200 probably won't suddenly change people's minds. Besides, there's the $2000 (or more) iPhone Ultra. The 18 pro and pro max would feel like a steal, even after the price hike. That's why Apple delayed the regular 18 release. People looking for a new iPhone would be "dang that $2000 iPhone Ultra is a lot of money. But hey look the 18 pro for less and better cameras!
