Good now that's one less thing other people can stop complaining about when they've never used a Galaxy Foldable and only think the thing stinks because of the battery capacity they see. As a Fold 4 5 and 6 owner I know the same 4400 mAh battery capacity is completely fine and easily lasts a day if not 2. But don't tell the ones who've never used one before.

Assuming this is true, it is a welcome increase so Im looking forward to this upgrade from the Z6. No need for si/c if they can push their graphite battery. Chinese manufacturers are probably getting killed on those margins and the price inrease to their flagships are hurting their sales.
It would be a pit stop for Samsung anyway. The ultimate destination is ASSBs.

Whoa, 5000mAh instead of 4400? A MASSIVE 13,5% improment!
Also, those 5 year old cameras look so nice on a 2026 flagship. That 1/4" 10MP telephoto is amazing. Motorola doesn't use those even in mid-rangers.

That is a significant jump yes, but it's a jump from something that was terrible, and the newer numbers only suggest okay battery life, not anything amazing. It's still worse than the Magic V6 and Motorola Razr Fold.

This more compact Fold 8 is going to sell really well; it makes more sense than those giant screens.
