Mass, compulsory, arbitrary collection of fingerprints for ID cards which are compulsory for own citizens (something which btw was literally pioneered by nazis, see Kennkarte) in 2019.
Chat Control - arbitrary scanning of private messages without court order. Resumed now through rigging EU parliament voting. And may get even worse come September.
Restrictions/surveillance of cash payments.
Etc.
Yeah, EU institutions are sure can be trusted with limiting access to the internet, not like they seem to have authoritarian inclinations or anything. And they are under strict democratic control, like ECI - prohibitive threshold so that non-binding suggestion can be
freely rejected by european commission.

The actual problem is adults in these social media that can't be punished or otherwise the people who try to punish are some sort of phobia or ism/ist
The same people who demanded rights advertised that kids will be out of it but now everything is for the kids and that the next generation is ending it's selves. Even tough they end cause they change to what the adults and social media is pushing them to and then they find out that it makes their lives a lot harder and then there is no road back and then have nothing left to do while also get bullies when tryin to turn back and then they become part of the statistics these adults use to prove their point
Never mind that restrictions don't ever help to solve a problem. It makes it a lot worse. Also we live in technology age where it's not actually good for future advancing when in the early age we restrict access to kids that are in their best phase to learn all the technology
Obama basically opened the Pandora Box and the rest of the west world fallowed and now we all see it as a large problem but fixing it is again as typical doing it in wrong way. Don't want to hurt the feelings of the few over the majority

At first, this seems like a good decision, but it is more of a bluff to make European people think their governments are their friends, which is not the case at all.
European governments serve only the rich families that own the entirety of the European industry.

Limitations are better than an outright ban. Still, I worry about invasive measures taking place that would erode privacy further, and I still believe that parents should be more involved than they are.
