He ain't delusional. That's it. This is marketing. But who am I judging — maybe you've never heard of that word after all. This is just the casual playfully intimidating persona coming outta a CEO. And no, making mistakes doesn't make anyone "delusional" either. Why are we judging based on 1 video and black/white thinkin'?

Underpowered? They made 1 "flagship". Chill out. You can't expect a Snapdragon 8 Elite or newer to be given out with trust to a company that has existed for less than 5 years. I wouldn't say underpowered anyway. If you're not pushing for 24 GB in a phone and the newest chip, then even a Nothing Phone (3a) will be enough. And yes, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is enough for me. After all, Nothing mostly produces mid-rangers and occasional budgets. Nothing phones aren't advertised for intensive gaming either, so your point is undercooked. Nothing advertises their phones for long substantiality (battery, optimization, bloatware free) and CASUAL USAGE.

Again, that's with every phone. Has you ever looked at an iPhone? The most expensive a Nothing phone has ever been was around $800 with the launch price of Nothing (3). That's was a flagship attempt, but we all know how that went to dust. Wait about 6 months until a phone is at a reduced price, then you could stop complaining.

Have you ever heard of Sharp? I doubt that, honestly. Nothing is entering an already competitive marked; do you immediately expect them to get a 20% share or what? Of course not. That's not how it works, buddy! If you already have a good-working phone, why bother switching to a SMALL, relatively new phone company when your devices already work great? Collectors, or whomever.
Do your research, if possible! Anyway... Have a nice day and don't take this too seriously.

Created a phone company out of nothing(no pun intended) and it is still going on(talking about OnePlus). Tim Cook can't compare to his achievements. So obviously this is a skit. You don't need to watch the video to know that.

nothing (and other android based phone) can never be apple. let alone steal their customers.

i mean, look at samsung.
samsung used to mock apple for not having a 3.5mm headphone jack and SD card slot while still having good (if not, better) IP dust and water protection than apple's iphone.

only for samsung to later remove that ad and copy apple.
now, samsung no longer innovates (look at their battery capacity) and at the same time, scared off most of their power users.
android phone manufacturers lack 1 (or more) ingredient(s) if they want to beat apple. let alone "steal" their customers.
though google will never allow that 1 (or more) ingredient(s) to be made.
doing so will make google lose it's "dominance" and google can't have that.

I usually switch phones every 3-5 years. I've had the following:
Sony xperia tipo
Samsung Galaxy S5
Huawei P20
Nothing Phone (1)
Nothing Phone (3)
I have to say that I was positively impressed with NP1. The glyph interface was a unique gimmick which I rarely used (mostly in concerts), but the software really drew me with its simple and elegant design. Most importantly, I saw the Nothing OS getting better, update by update, and them delivering on their promises. I strongly debated getting the NP3, because I was not a fan of the design and the glyph matrix is kinda lame compared to the glyph interface, but I found it at a very good price. The experience is extremely smooth and I'm very satisfied, although I don't think I'll ever use either the glyph matrix nor the essential space/button. Nothing is one of the very few phone companies with an unbloated OS with a unique feel to it.
As far as Carl Pei's stunt goes, the aim is obvious: get publicity/be viral by making huge statements that do not correspond to reality. In other words, he's ragebating all of you and you guys are eating up right up. It's incredible to see that you people fall for the same gimmicks over and over again. Trump got elected doing the same thing

Nothing stealing iPhone users is beyond delulu. Nothing fanboys are the only ones who even care about this marketing stunt. hilarious stuff.
