So now, Nothing to it, Design your own phone. Make sure it can do perfect Sweep panoramas with all its lenses, or you cannot replace a modern iPhone than can, and that does. Any takers? No, I did not think so.
I did not want to have to buy an iPhone to do ultrawide sweep panoramas at all, but nobody else can even write the software to do them properly (Samsungs top models try, but then thats it, NOBODY ELSE!)
And the video from an iPhone is reliably good and you can shoot RAW video too.
THat said the sensors on even a Pro iPHONE are all way too small, and still noisy, so just redesign it with 1" sensors EVERYWHERE and ensure they all do perfect sweep panoramas with distortion correction on the ultrawide, or preferably a new much sharper Zero Distortion 12mm f2.0 Ultrawide than the iPhones can manage.
Somewhere somebody must by now be able to duplicate the genuinely 40+ MegaPixels of the Nokia Pureview lens without the noise (its 15 years ago, after all) so we should all now be enjoying hi-res photographs that match hi-res Full-frame sensor quality, at lower isos anyway.
But we are not. Well, as that would render Nikon Sony, Canon, Ricoh and Panasonic etcetera penniless, perhaps its the reason why phones stay so crummy!

i get that, but doubt it will help your life gets better in any way.
Haters are full of sigma alpha energy and they don't have a heart for others, not just on this site, but everywhere. They probably wonder why are they left alone. I don't k ow.. maybe because people love to see empathy.
They don't have empathy because they are too narcistics. For them, other people opinons don't matter and they will actively search for an opinion that contrasts theirs, but not for the healthy debate.
Nope. They will try to pull out every possible way to somehow say ...
"I am better, stronger and smarter than you. You don't know sht like i do."
If you want people hear what you're saying, why don't you try to be more respectful toward brands and their users?

The purpose of this video was that news sites like GSMArena reports about it, spreading the name of the company and stirring up controversial discussions, like the one in these comments.
That's how it works. Every posting gives more attention to "Nothing". Even the haters help with that...
Don't underestimate the power of marketing. The claims Nothing is making now could come true in the future... Just like people are STILL looking for Discord alternatives, despite their attempts to clarify the age-assessment rules.

who doesn't want a tough competition and better products? BBK is not able to establish a proper supply chain outside China for too many years so, they are far from being competitive with that local brand mindset. Samsung is backing-off not to compete against its best customer, Apple. So, there is no competition or innovation in flagship segment for many years. Apple takes it all.
Can Nothing shake things up? Not yet. however, they check several boxes. refined software with long support, snappy UI, unique brand design language in software and hardware (no apple clone), good built quality, solid audio products, reliable supply chain.
However, they are still focused on mid and entry segment phones to gain some market share. producing a flagship takes the costs really high due to low volumes. that's where nothing will lose its price value proposition. I would like to see an elite gen5 SoC, 16GB ram, 6500mah battery, triple flagship grade camera setup but, these will make it difficult to keep the prices close to iphone 18 or 19. the point is, they have to outperform iphone 18/19 pro in specs with vanilla iphone 18/19 price tag. this is the formula to steal apple customers who do not own an airpods, apple watch or macbook.

I mean Nothing started out as Nothing, get a little hype then after the disastrous Nothing Phone 3, everything started going downhill for them I think? And Carl Pei's comments on Apple is not helping cause they can't even produce a proper flagship phone like OnePlus is doing before which Carl Pei formerly was the CEO or something right.

Would love to swap any Samsung for any other phone except google or Apple because IOS is worse any any UI or Android and because Google Tensor is worst gamming chip on market equal to Unisoc no thanks.
Nothing is maybe not a gaming phone made but still is a great device even for gaming.

Nothing brand been perfect with every single device made.

You game I assume and so do I, but Nothing is still not on my list due to their weird cutbacks vs the (at least here) too high price.
If I care about gaming performance even Samsung (S25 is dirt cheap here) is a better choice, and I don't even start about OnePlus or Xiaomi being even CHEAPER and better than anything I just mentioned.
