Because internal storage costs more than external storage. That was the actual reason to discontinue microsd card in phones. That way oems can charge more and earn more profit.
In a year or so oems will realise the mistake when their phone sales will plummet due to too expensive phones (hyper inflated memory cost)

before commenting. id also like to point out how you put effort in saying lagdroid but forget that the 17 pro lags on ios26 if u have low power mode and recording on... bashing on an entire operating system while yours can barely even do two things at once is insanity to me.

If you can't afford Sony then buy the budget phones that still have your microSD card slots.
Even tough there are like 512GB to 1TB version storage phones already but it's not actually the point why you and your kind want microSD cards. Cause you change phones yearly and are lazy to move your data. It's not actually the reason that there is no space in the phone or there are no options for more space

I understand that you have maxed out your level of how big of a Apple fan you are! It's something even a blind person can see!
Also you get 3 Android phones for the money of your one iPhone that have A19 Pro in it. And i dont think the iPhone Pro model is good for gaming with it's small screen.
