"The leak suggests the Tensor G6 will use a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU"
PowerVR's C-series GPUs are designed for IoT devices and there's no such product called "CXTP-48-1536" (DXT-48-1536 non-RT variant is what Tensor G5 uses, so the leaker must have conflated the C-series with D-series).
It's truly unfortunate that you pointed to a non-existent GPU product and claimed that it's "already a few years old", you guys didn't even do basic research before validating the leaker's claims and it clearly shows.

This is what a Non Phone Gamer want in a new smartphone for a long lasting fuss free usage experience. A powerful CPU, with just enough GPU support for GUI animation, webpage rendering, Youtube watching, FB etc all can be rendered perfectly even with a 5 year old decent GPU. CPU power matters if one look for long term usage, since Google offer 7 years of OS upgrade support, having a strong CPU make more sense.
Why waste in GPU real estate in a chip (cost money) for those who never game on a phone ?
Google has the ability to make TSMC look like Samsung, Cortex A78 look like A75, 5000mah look like 3000mah.
I can't wait to buy a 2022 flagship next year, for $1200.

Desktop mode on the pixel was introduced a few months ago;google made it native on android just recently ; so it will take a few updates to get there. But its still better than apple:oh ; if you want to buy a new decent laptop ;just pay 2000 dollars. Come on...

>>> Pixels do work well with the hardware only if you pretend that Pixel is the only smartphone in the world, only if you don't compare it to other competing flagships.
The Pixel 7 Pro (which I owned) was the last great Pixel flagship. Current Qualcomm's chip have humiliated the Pixel's Tensor chip. The G6 doesn't look promising either.
"also On top of that ; they offer desktop OS ; so you don't have to buy a laptop"
>>> Desktop mode on the Pixel sucks when compared to something like the Dex on Samsung devices.

Just so everybody understands, Google said the same thing for the Pixel 10's SoC, and it ended up being completely false. I doubt they'll use the "latest" , and if they do it will likely be downclocked soo much that the prime core will be stuck at 1ghz

Have you even used any phones with 9500 or the 8 Elite Gen 5? I bet not!
No game or app is pushing these chips to their limits.
So don't worry about throttling based on a bunch of YouTube tests. But I know Google with their Tensor chipsets have struggled in the past during basic tasks as well leading to poor thermal efficiency.
Google needs to improve battery life and battery charging speeds.
While the GPU is disappointing, let's be real for a moment. Unless you are playing on the most demanding mobile games, editing 4K video or actively using PC emulation, you're not going to notice a difference in power. If you have a new phone but you're not using these features, you're not using the extra performance. 😅
Pixel phones offer a better camera experience and results than everyone else on the market, especially on the auto mode. The consensus in the industry is that their phones have been the best for years on end. Their software is so smooth and responsive that you wouldn't know that it has a weaker processor. They actually keep their software up to date every month and bring new features, unlike the competition that offers a plan for years and what you're actually getting is a release every couple of months/years.
The biggest problem is the price increases for Pixel phone and above all, the battery lifespan (including the total cycles and the battery health being forced on newer Pixel phones).
