As I said Google Pixel 7 Pro was the last good Google phone which could compete with other flagships in terms of raw performance.
If you are a regular user limited to doing day to day tasks, you obviously aren't gonna notice any difference.

AutoFocus, 22 hours agoWhat if the users doesn't want to game ?Camera gets affected in high resolutions (everything goes on CPU with that move), navigation won't be ideal outside Google Chrome and even Facebook, Tiktok or Instagram might suffer a little.
Issue is that the drivers are not so optimized that even if the performance is on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (vanilla), the real life performance might be more on par with the GPU of the Snapdragon 888 or less.
Also don't forget video editors and some photo editors too.
Now the Pixel looks like an experiment instead of a functional product

You're actually killing your marketing "We want to make the phone last longer so that's why we're updating the phone up to android 23." nearly 5 years ago is not a "few" years, but okay..
actually their offering do have some value for me,
especially when they are discounted as MSRP prices are just crazy lol.
good thing is their price comes down after 6 months so they could become a choice.
i don't care for GPU that much as long they work better on efficiency.
they are betting on AI and efficiency for a couple of years,
but no dice in efficiency department so far.
they should focus first on what they promised us with the first Tensor
and then slowly improve in every field.
P.S.: fun fact...
i've heard somewhere that this "new" Tensor's GPU was actually meant for Tensor G4.

This is Google we're talking about, they will somehow find a way to completely screw it up and make these supposedly powerful CPU cores underperform. Look at Tensor G5 as well as all of their previous attempts.
If you can't even get either one of CPU or GPU right and let the whole SoC perform like a mid-range, you might just as well, you know, use an actual mid-range chip that doesn't consume tons of power and call it a day.
