Google is indeed the Apple of the Android world in terms of overpriced devices for the specs they provide, the slow adoption of latest features, the lack of customization, etc.

lols from galaxy S series to A series to tab S series is basically recycled devices with minimal upgrade won't be surprised most of samsung expensive devices don't sell well except for it entry level device which is the only one that managed to be among the top 10 best selling phone year by year. none of it premium phone are among it while apple keep dominating the top positions year after year samsung is lucky that lots of chinese brands don't sell in places like the us otherwise it could even be worse than that
AI is made a mess in pricing of these and now with this ware another crisis are happening, theres a possibility of shortages of helium which is essential in chipset fabrication.
Its scary to see the Price of Gaming Computers and Laptop today are same price of common desktop and laptop in the Future. Imagine Asus ROG gaming laptop price now are same price of Asus Vivobook for Student in the future.
Is this even news? All time record breaking profits are being registered by the semiconductor division

Companies don't own shares except for treasury shares. Shares belong to shareholders. For example, if you hold 10 million of Samsung shares, Samsung can't sell them because they belong to you. Generally, share prices don't affect companies at all as long as they have enough cash flow. As for the stock buyback, it's not simple like that. You need cash to buy shares, which can be used to invest in potentially more profitable ventures. Also, buying back shares don't guarantee that the share price will increase. Usually, buying back shares barely affects the share price. It's good for shareholders, though, because with less common shares, the dividends will be higher. For example, if a company buy back 1% of shares, the dividends should increase by about 1% of the profits are about the same.
Business is weird. You would think that it doesn't matter because it's all part of the parent company Samsung, but in actuality, it does indeed matter, because when one subsidiary isn't able to profit, it's at risk of being bankrupt and possibly majorly restructured, sold off, or even shut down entirely. Also, it matters to us consumers, because if we want to buy the subsidiary's products, we have to pay whatever the cost is currently, and higher prices generally means less people buying the products.
In short, Samsung's mobile division is in jeopardy, but there is hope - already, we're seeing OpenAI back out of previously large deals with memory manufacturers, so there's the possibility that the same will happen for Samsung. It's a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

While technically their is no direct profit, you have to account for the stock market and investors too. Higher profits, more investors, higher stock price and an opportunity to sell at the top. As for the subsidiary if they are on the stock market as well, deficit leads to stock selling pressure, which is an opportunity to buy back at a bottom.
The point I was trying to make is that Samsung just shuffles profits around from on division to the other, while jacked up prices generate extra revenue on external sales.

If a subsidiary pays less taxes because it buys expensive components from another subsidiary, another subsidiary will pay more taxes. The parent company doesn't benefit from this at all.

Even the Pro models on Vivo and Oppo are destroying Samsung's Ultra phone.
I don't doubt memory pricing plays a role. However, Samsung makes its own memory and has released little new image hardware on recent phones, while competitors have made major gains. The S27's planned improvements should have arrived this year.
Yes, their mobile division will have losses and probably won't pay a single cent in taxes due to that. Meanwhile, their RAM and NAND divisions are having all time high profits. So yeah, classical profit redistribution between same subsidiaries of a mother company. So overall, just a numbers cooking, nothing more.
The only difference is if regular or small companies did that kind of numbers cooking, they would most likely be under investigation, fined and quite possibly charged for tax evasion.
