Prices of RAM and Storage will also go down again.
In the moment we have a bottleneck because of high demand for AI.
When manufactures will ramp up their production of memory chips there will be more supply and the prices will go down again.
So, great news.

I'm not so sure about that, given the history of how the three memory cartels increased the DRAM prices (this is before the crypto-mining boom, COVID and AI). But hey, I'd love to be proved wrong.

Do you know the Samsung they talk about which is a giant manufacturer is a complete different company and has almost nothing to do with the Samsung producing smartphones? There are Samsung group companies which are independent from each other.

Samsung Move Production to LPDDR5? I Wonder why Samsung still stuck at producing a 12GB RAM on a Premium Flagship. When the Minimum is Supposed to be 16GB of RAM for entry and 24GB of RAM for the Top of the Line Flagship?

50% faster memory that you wont even notice on low end chips, but will obviously make the phone more expensive.

I highly doubt that 8 year old technology is overly expensive. Yes, we are in a RAM and storage crisis, but LPDDR5 is not being used by AI companies anyway so that shouldn't impact old tech much.

Than a dated one with dated memory dated speed running and opening everything so slow people will either stop using it or will use their smartphone only for calls and occasional texts.

Any phone regardless of a brand in 2026 even the low end deserves at least 12Mpx as a supporting camera while all mains should be 50Mpix or above. And for selfie cam at least 32 Mpix modules.
