Only 'confirmed' next gen phones to have a dual periscope are Oppo and Huawei. Vivo was rumored to be working on a variable zoom system like Xiaomi but it's still unclear what they'll do
I’m waiting on this one. I sold my X200 Ultra because I needed eSIM for work. Can’t wait for the Global release this year. I’m definitely getting the X300 Ultra.

I don't know if it was on a blog about DCS or another leaker on X.com.

Kat, 21 Mar 2026It’s funny cuz this is practically better than the Samsungs in 95% of the way XDNo it ain't.
There are countless comparisons on YouTube if you aint got the devices.
There aint much in it.
Less than 50% at night, and basically the same during the day.
Video is much better on Galaxy Ultras and iPhones.

Because the "best camera system" is only 10 to 50 percent better than the camera on a bloody S25 Edge, whereas the phone feels like a ton of bricks.
Because you sacrifice a lot for very little in return.
Oh and if you want a big screen, there are better options. I have a Z Fold7. It's much bigger than an X200 Ultra...when I need it to be. It's also as small as an S26...when I need it to be. I've got the same main sensor (the only one really useful) as the S25 Ultra.

Just because you like that junk Air just because is light, others have different priorities

You're basically contradicting yourself.
It's definitely NOT worth the usability sacrifices. In fact, even if the phone had 4 full frame sensors it wouldn't be worth it. Usability and ergonomics are by faaaaaar the most important metric when using a phone. Every, single, time, I've used the iPhone Air, S25 Edge, any S base, and even my Z Fold7 folded, I rejoice at the smaller footprint and ease of use, compared to behemoths like the X200 Ultra.
Not even if the pictures were 10 times as good would the usability sacrifice be worth it, let alone it being less than twice as good.

An alright design. Miles ahead of the X200 Ultra (IMO one of the uglies phones ever)

With sensor sizes of X200/X300 Ultra, its probably physically impossible to make a Pixel style "visor" which of course is the best from a usability point of view (wobbles even less on a table + doesn't get in the way of your fingers when holding the phone).
Having the cameras of X200 Ultra, I can confidently say its worth the usability sacrifices. Although for the most part I'm using an iPhone Air in most everyday situations and work.
Anonymous, 21 Mar 2026do you need to keep the lens on permanently with the camera when carrying?
these are genuine ... moreYes.
In fact, my sub $250 Tecno Camon 40 also has a decently large sensor (1/1.56" type) and with gcam, it takes pretty decent photos - perfectly good enough for capturing moments.
But does that mean I don't want a good telephoto? Nope.
We humans always want more. It's just how it is.

these are genuine questions, im not a camera knowing person at all.
i just feel like the idea behind "an uncompromised camera experience" is a failed concept when the very first thing in the list is "okay but you can pocket it".
hauling a midranger with a passable main for "spur of the moment" images i would think is plenty, no? (obv, with a genuine camera in mind)

It is just impossible to make it like samsung or iphone, sensors are much bigger. For example xiaomi 17 ultra telephoto module with its optics and stabilization is bigger than all modules from samsung together.
