The S26 is for those who have not yet experienced having such flagship power or those who lost theirs or accidentally broke their phone so they can catch up with the newer model.

Why are you bothering too much on the magnets built with the unit? Are you not aware that all phone users are using cases on their respective phones? Samsung's approach is just so smart not to built it with magnets and instead utilize that cost to the more useful things thus keeping the cost on the threshold. That race for beautiful phone cases will be on a different league because phone cases has become a must accessory of any phone. They will take care those magnets.

For each user, it's unique—it's not about the "best upgrade," but about what the individual buyer wants and what the market offers at the time of purchase. If competitors haven't managed to create a decent design over the years, and people want a good design, they'll buy the one that was good five years ago and is good today.
You don't need to change the design if it works, for example.
If people needed charging speed, they wouldn't buy an iPhone. If people needed a telephoto module, they wouldn't buy a base iPhone... but do you see how many people buy them?
It's that simple.

New generation actually mean more for companies then for users. Manufacturers correct mistakes if the previous generation didn't sell well enough to meet their target metrics. They also relaunch their advertising campaign: a manufacturer that doesn't do this won't sell last year's model as well this year as it did the previous year, so they need to launch a new model, no matter how many changes they make. You can see this in quarterly statistics: when someone launches a new phone, the company sees a significant increase in sales. At the end of the year, this translates into total sales for each company. Without the new model, sales would have been significantly lower.

I don't even use magnets with my iPhone. Wireless charging is super important in my car when I'm using Android Auto or CarPlay. Most cars have 10W built-in chargers. If your phone supports 15W max, you'll probably end up with overheating after 40 minutes of navigation and music streaming. You better have some more room in the phone's wireless charger coils. 25W isn't top-notch, but it should be fine for my only overheating use case for my Android and iOS phones.
Samsung's weakest features are battery capacity and camera rather than charging speeds.

Hello everyone! I've used only Samsung phones for almost 15 years. But this year I realized that there won't be any progress from Samsung. The same things never change, it's getting tiresome. You can check it yourselves:
1. Li-Ion 5000 mAh. (Others are struggling with 7500-10001 mAh)
2. Same charging speed:
45W, 65% in 30 min. (Others have 120W and more advanced)
3. Moreover, in the Android 16 One UI 8 update, they removed the OEM unlock remote as a surprise.
4. And there's much more, and this is just what's visible to everyone.
Now tell me, do you think Samsung is doing well with this approach?

BPP means the phones only support 5W wireless charging on Qi chargers and need a proprietary wireless charger to get 20/25 W 🙄

Correct me if i'm wrong here but I was under the impression it was established the magnets would interfere with the S-pen functionality???
Someone want to point out exactly when it was Samsung promised magnets in the S26 range? I ask cause many on here (most of whom wouldn't buy one, magnets or not) are acting like they have gone back on a promise with this 🤷♀️
I bet there has been a rumour or two floating around, they have been coming thick and fast and are kind of all over the place with their predictions. As far as I am aware though, there was never any official word from Samsung themselves on this feature 🤔

I'll say it again and again. Magnets to align a wireless charging system is unintelligent. If it is using magnets then it should have pogo pins for direct contact to charge at full speed. Wireless charging should be free of orientation and location. By using magnets now you have to use two hands to separate the phone and the charger instead of just picking up and go.

Just imagine most users actually enough 6 hours of screen time for all day. And if for you it's not enough - buy different phone. Its simple. but we can see how much different phones sold.
Maybe for users better 6 hours of screen time with OneUI than 9 with ColorOS? Maybe most user prefer design of Samsung.
"they want game changers." - but get minor upgrades like X200 Pro -> X300 Pro.
People just go to shop and see what market give right now, not how much difference get each phone for year.
When we talking about "bad uptime" of Samsung phones - same time Xioami 15 Ultra can give worst uptime. When we say "5000 mah is small " VIVO continue to ship 5400 mah to Europe.
