Darth Caesium, 22 Aug 2025None of what you're saying is trueThe class action lawsuits regarding the Joy-Con drift issue were dismissed: https://tech.yahoo.com/gaming/articles/years-lawsuits-were-filed-against-163827231.html
Also, Nintendo offers to fix the Joy-Con drift issue for free. And Nintendo fixed the widespread Joy-Con drift issue a long time ago. There are no credible sources that say that the widespread Joy-Con drift issue still occurs nowadays. As I said, other controllers can have drift issues after long periods of usage. However, the Joy-Con drift issue occurs very early such as only in 2 years or less. That was the problem. When people talk about the Joy-Con drift issue, it is understood that they mean the widespread, early drift issue. It's no longer an issue for new Joy-Con controllers.

This phone was good but they have to improve the refresh rate from 120 to 1440 we are tired of the same refresh rates on every flagship

The... moreWhen I bought my Sony Z3 several years ago iPhone 6 and Samsung S5 were available but miles worse and less premium than Sony. After using my Sony 2 years it got really slow and annoying. Never played games but it was heating and the back panel started to come out of the frame. My first Samsung was S6 Edge. Great at first but laggy after that. Then bought A52. For a midrange phone it was great. Still works my aunt uses it now. My current phone is Samsung S24+ large and great phone in all aspects. Yes lags happen sometimes but overall works really fine. Tried Google Pixels but they are boring and basic. Another good alternative is Oneplus.
What’s the point though? The 10 people who buy these have already got them…and they probably have their replacements already.

Yeah, great idea to ask 999 on phone that cost more than 500 to be made while other ask 1400 for device that have similar costs, or 1500 for chinese phone that costs less than 500.
Gladly you are not business owner.

Samsung and Apple ask ao much because they can, but especially with Samsung you see the prices drop a lot short while after launch (Fold 7 is already 350 euro cheaper here than at launch, and S25 Ultra starts at 910 euro here).
Apple on the other hand doesn't do it, but they are a special case (main reason their resale value is that high)
So pretty much that.
I am not a blind fan of Sony phones but I have them. I think their sales strategy is crap. They could have charged 999 for their flagship device xperia 1, 799 for xperia 5 and 399 for xperia 10.
Not cheap by any means where it would be much better approachable price.
Honestly, if I pay 1400 for a Sony and a iphone pro ma/Galaxy ultra. I would surely take the iPhone or the Samsung.
But if i get an ultra for 1400 and a Sony for 1000, yeah would take the Sony.
And what about the 10 VII? No news for a long time now. Last hope for a less than 6.3' screen phone, with ni bloatwares (no thanks Samsung).. may be should try pixel at this point
*Big sigh*
PRoArtsy, 22 Aug 2025Always trust Japanese brands. If there's a problem, they'll address it with grace. What, like Nintendo with joy-con drift? Oh wait they not only acknowledged it only several years after the Switch 1's release, and then only offered a free repair service a few years after that only because they lost a class-action lawsuit taken against them, but they still have it even with the Switch 2.
Europe is nice but what about North America Sony? I know tariffs exist now, but at least give us the option.
Who cares? I liked Xperia phones, but they've steadily got worse and worse while still being among the most expensive devices. No surprise, Sony's Inzone products are also very overpriced tech that often isn't even that great. They just released a keyboard, for 300 dollars. Stupid and unfortunately, it shows the same trend as their phones, milking their customers as much as they can.
