It's like people try to convince themsel... moreThat's pretty much every chinese phone simp on this site that needs to constantly reassure themselves as their phone struggles to do basic tasks like run android auto or cast to another device. They'll wear their cope mask and say something like "muh big battery" not realizing that paying extra for a large battery that doesn't get used and degrades faster isn't such a good idea. Then they'll say something about "muh AI OS" not realizing that their OS is almost exactly the same as all the other chinese brands because their OS was developed by the state in order to data collect their personal information. They'll conclude their cope saga with "b-but muh 200mp periscope camera" not realizing that 99% of their camera is just digitally modified and even a $100 mirrorless from 2016 runs circles around it due to having actual glass elements.

I was finally waiting for this. I will soon be able to order my Sony Xperia 1 VII in purple orchid to replace my 1 VI. In entertainment electronics since the 80s I always buy Japanese. Panasonic Technics first or otherwise Sony (I have the Technics EAH-AZ100 headphones). I live in Switzerland and if next year the Sony Xperia are no longer available outside Asia (?) (we are at least sure that they will not stop immediately in the world) I think that I will buy another color next year to be able to keep them for several years. Honestly I would not want any other brand at the moment among those available. Sharp or others are even less available. but I hope that the Sony Xperia remain available in Europe even if it is only in the official Sony store

still rocking 1v... have to import overseas via online shops...
I was worried about 1vii's recall that it might happen in the future, good thing is, some sellers provided the needed warranty since it was a manufacturing defect... some in our circles are still waiting for the replacement, though...

Apple's high resale value is a MYTH concocted because they have NEVER believed in reducing their products sales prices for the length the product has been on sale+
Case in point is the 2016 Mac Pro Tradh Can which remained at launch retail price for 6yrs! No replacement model as featured in a Macrumors article!!!
ONLY in China has Apple's EVER reduced retail price for the product being sold and not for long.

That resale value ia manufactured due to the facts above. Its pure bs and pure perception.
You can see that has fallen with the M2-M4 MACS on Grey markets here in Canada and in USA on kijiji karot marketplace.
