Sony phones can last decades because they actually know how to make a phone that doesn't self destruct, which is not what i can say about 90% of smartphone brands nowadays. Rocking a 1 IV btw, no reason to switch phones for at least 3 more years.

Even sony diehard fan did not upgrade every year. Just spawn in nonsense online.
Sony just like other android oem, use the same chips / hardware for flagship.. Thus one of the way to attaract potential customer is through marketing or carrier deal. And sony lack both of those.. Their retail price did not help eiher.

I don't understand why people laugh at the 21:9 ratio! It was unique, handy, and beautiful! I personally lost my interest when Sony revealed their Xperia VI with an ordinary aspect ratio, just like everyone else. I still kept my Xperia 10 IV at my home in memory of it!
Sony lacks confidence in innovations. Hundreds of their old, unique, self-introduced features have been perished by themselves. I have been in touch with them since 2003 by using at least 50+ Sony Ericsson and Sony phones in the past two decades. Now I hate myself for loving Sony!

What stops Sony from announcing 5 year and in 2 years to stop selling mobile phone ? Hence no update required if they shut down the division.
Not a good look if they want ppl to buy it ... And I onwed severals Xperia in the past, wish to purchase one but the price is really too steep for the offering.

I really love Sony phones but I just hope they expand their markets more and up their marketing. Their UI might not be everyone's cup of tea but using it feels fluid and it does its job well.
Also never ever give up the headphone jack.

Xperia's Android is the definition of a clean Android, stock interface with a sprinkle of QoL features. The best thing about it is that i no longer have to deal useless sh*t that takes up gigabytes of storage and can't be deleted.
If i want to customize, Nova Launcher is always there. It's better than Samsung's anyways so... yeah.

Will they unveil the new 10 VII at the same time? Hoping they have got rid of the 21:9 to match the 1 VII. Certainly won’t buy the 1 VII, exactly the same phone as last year with just a CPU change.
