A screen re... moreHi david, I have to tell you with much respect, because I do not know you, so this comment goes with much respect, this phone has a particularity, if you do not know or at least you do not like to handle the manual mode, the camera does not take the best advantage, I have an acquaintance quie has the latest Iphone, and caco better photos than him, for a small reason, the xperia is made for people who want a phone with manual setting and who know how to use it, otherwise, it will remain a mediocre mobile before your view /

Sony's UI is boring, ... moreI remember my OG Xperia 1 had cool customer AOD customizations, such as adding a picture or a sticker, but that went away when I got my Xperia 1V. If Sony keeps taking away more things like this, I'm not even going to bother looking at them for my next upgrade.

A screen resolution FHD+ that is below most other flagships which are now around 3K.
Nothing special stock Android UI with a few extra apps/tweeks, almost identical to Motorola's.

It looks like some custom ROMs from last decade. I remember having such on my HTC 10. Besides I use Nova Launcher daily, despite that last working regular version is from June 2024.

Sony is invested on the nostalgia, not exciting, no wow factor. Wider, shorter and bulkier, wth, Samsung and apple are approaching the market with slim new phones and Sony got stay trusted on their old fashioned designs as they got their own market share of people that prefer that. Everyone had the right to their own preferences. Loved Sony mobiles a decade ago, nowadays is just look at them just focused on updating their hw components on those horrible framy chassis of a phones from almost a decade ago… bravo or better bravia to Sony

This acticle seems to imoly xperia 1 only. I'm still hoping for xperia 10. Neither one was confirmed nor denied.

Sony's UI is boring, ... moreAgain, Nova Launcher and any 3rd party launchers are better and lighter than those bloatware that OEMs forced their users to bear. Never coming back to Samsung after the horrendous experiences i had with Note 9. The UI is nonsense and so buggy it's diabolical, and i thought it was a great phone.
Just don't force sh*t on my phone if you don't know how to do it properly, i'm gonna install my own stuff over it anyways.

Anonymous, 07 May 202510 vii 6.1" oled 120Hz Qualcomm 6g4 8/256GB 16mm + 25mm rear cameras hopefully 10 will get 6.5" display because i don't need flagship chipset, but i need bigger size display why sony not making 10 plus version. hopefully 10 will get plus again with bigger display.
