Everybody leaning into nostalgia X-Men casting needs to face up to the reality of age. I love the thought of 20-year-old Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik. But 30-year-old Anya Taylor-Joy doing a 'first appearance' as Magik just *isn't the right age for the character.*
