Samsung is reportedly testing a shared telephoto strategy across the S27 lineup.
The Galaxy S27 and S27+ are said to use the same 3x telephoto system as the S27 Pro, while sharing their main and ultrawide camera hardware with the Ultra.
For the S27 Ultra, Samsung is currently evaluating a 50MP 1/1.9" 4x telephoto sensor.
However, insiders say Samsung is weighing the upgrade strictly against its BOM and real-world advantage. If the difference between native 4x and the traditional 5x system isn't significant enough to justify the additional cost, Samsung will reportedly retain the 5x telephoto.
There are currently five S27 Ultra prototypes reportedly being evaluated, suggesting the camera configuration is far from completely locked.
September 9 could be a major decision point for the final hardware direction.

If samsung is not seeing a difference between 1/1.9 and 1/2.55 and 1/3.9 then i doubt they are testing them in broad day light
