Can we learn anything from the evolution of hip kinematics in humanoid bots?
Is there a growing consensus of the optimal design?
Yes. And there is data to prove it.

Eric gets the essence of the challenge
Any remote controlled humanoid today could muddle through most or all the events, albeit with low scores
But if asked to do it completely autonomously with the same degree of independence and responsibility of a young athlete most would
I never thought laundry folding should be part of the humanoid decathlon, but @GoingBallistic5 is pretty convincing😆
Absolutely love these rules, I suggest reading the full set!
It’s more than just chasing a world record, but also benchmarking bots against average human physical fitness
The average fit person might score 1,500 points versus the World Record of 9,126
A bot could score 5,000 within a year and be considered more fit than an average worker
Scott and I get into the weeds about his decathlon idea. Let us know wheat you think!
