Did you know about the @github Stars program?
I just submitted my nominations!
A friend of mine
A girl coder I found on X
And, of course, our favorite racer, @dhh.
Now let's hope they got featured as stars. If any of you get featured, please support me to solve my issue.

I understand why GitHub retires popular repo names, but why permanently block them for something as simple as a Profile README? There has to be a better solution for current username owners. @github#GitHub#OpenSource#DevCommunity#Developer
My username is my real name, and I don't wish to change it. I respect @github's policies, but I hope we can find a reasonable middle ground. I'd appreciate reconsideration.
I'm facing an issue with GitHub's Profile README. My username's matching repository is marked as retired. Support is asking for the previous owner's email. How am I supposed to know who owned it before me? I registered my account through your web. @github, how can I resolve this?
