As AI and data centers become everyone's favorite punching bags (due in part because of crazy AI CEOs), the real advantages of the technology are often ignored. Something like this doesn't make the news, but a single failure will be headlines everywhere.

Tesla’s self-driving avoided a head-on collision on a mountain pass. If I had been driving myself and seen a car suddenly cross the center line, I might have panicked and ended up in a collision.

It’s crazy that we’ve normalized being interrupted by anyone 24/7. My phone is always on mute, except during the day on weekdays (i.e., when I’m working). Only family members can ring/text through otherwise. Honestly, this should be the norm.

My phone is on mute 100% of the time. Because no one should be able to grab my attention any time they want, on their schedule and not mine. Value. Your. Time.
