The Republic outlaws slavery yet leaves Anakin's mother in it. The Jedi take a gifted slave child, elevate him as the Chosen One, then mistrust and deliberately limit him while forbidding the attachments that define his life.
So, he begins viewing the Senate like Palpatine, as "greedy, squabbling delegates" unable and unwilling to act decisively for the common good. The Republic’s democratic machinery produces only corruption, subordination, and rigid inaction.
Then the Sand People abuse his mother to death. When the Jedi Order forbids him from grieving or intervening, his rage no longer has anywhere sanctioned to go:
"I killed them. I killed them all. They’re dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too. They’re like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals."
The Empire becomes the corrective that finally delivers what the Republic and Jedi promised but never could: decisive order instead of hypocrisy, bureaucracy, and institutional paralysis refusing to confront real problems.
