🇪🇺 On 1 October 2008, our first monitors arrived in Georgia.
1️⃣8️⃣ years later, we are still here – contributing to stability and a safer life for conflict-affected communities.
💙 We continue to engage with conflict-affected populations to understand their needs and, where possible, advocate for solutions that help them maintain stable, secure daily lives despite the lasting impact of the conflict.
🔹EUMM hosted members of the diplomatic corps 🇩🇪🇱🇻🇷🇴 on a patrol to Ergneti, Dvani and Zemo Nikozi areas.
🔹 Through such operational briefings, EU Member States learn about the security & humanitarian situation on the ground 🇬🇪 & the daily work of our monitors.
🔷 We continue to monitor the security situation in conflict-affected villages, contributing to stability and ensuring there is no return to hostilities.
✔️ Patrolling into the most remote areas ensures we monitor the security situation and speak directly with locals about the challenges they face, especially now during the winter season.
