What AI models does Taskade use?

Taskade runs on TSK-1, the intelligence layer of your workspace. Use Auto to let Taskade choose a model, or pick a rung: TSK-Instant, TSK-Standard, TSK-Thinking, or TSK-Reasoning. TSK-1 uses 15+ frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-weight providers.

You can select a model per agent, automation, or conversation. Free workspaces pick among the lighter models. Paid plans unlock the premium models and add more credits and higher request capacity.

Your data is not used to train provider models. Providers operate under data processing agreements.

What is Vibe Coding?

Vibe coding means you describe an app in natural language and let Taskade Genesis build it.

Describe a CRM, booking system, or dashboard. Taskade Genesis can create the interface, project data, and connected AI agents.

How it works:

  • Describe your app in plain language
  • Review the generated interface, data, and agents

What's the difference between projects and apps?

Projects are structured data containers that store your information and serve as the memory layer of your workspace. Projects support 9 views: List, Board, Table, Mind Map, Docs (Beta), Gantt Chart, Calendar, Actionsheet, and Org Chart.

Apps are living software built by Taskade Genesis from a prompt. They have custom UI, logic, pages, forms, and embedded AI agents — and they connect back to your projects and automations.

Think of it this way: projects are your data, apps are your interface. An app might read from a project database, trigger automations, and use agents to process information — all wired together automatically.

Create your first app →

How do I migrate from another tool?

Taskade makes migration straightforward:

Import options:

  • Markdown/text — Paste or import .md files directly into projects
  • CSV — Import spreadsheet data into Table view
  • Google Docs/Sheets — Connect via integration to sync content
  • Notion — Export as Markdown, then import into Taskade projects
  • Trello/Asana — Export as CSV, import into Board or Table view

Once imported, you can:

  • Convert projects into Taskade Genesis apps
  • Attach AI agents to organize and process your data
  • Set up automations to keep external tools in sync

Import guide →

What are App Presets?

App Presets are pre-configured starting points for common app types. Instead of writing a prompt from scratch, choose a preset and customize it.

Popular presets include:

  • CRM and sales pipeline
  • Project tracker and kanban board
  • Meeting scheduler and agenda
  • Knowledge base and wiki
  • Customer support portal
  • Invoice and billing dashboard

Presets include pre-wired AI agents, automation triggers, and page layouts — so your app works out of the box. You can modify everything after generation.

Compare plans →

What are AI credits and how do they work?

AI credits are the currency for AI-powered features in Taskade. Every AI action — generating an app, running an agent, executing an automation with AI steps, or using AI chat — consumes credits.

Credit allocation by plan:

  • Free. Your first build is on us: get started free, no credit card

  • Pro — 50,000 credits/month

  • Business — 150,000 credits/month

  • Max — Higher monthly allocation than Business

  • Enterprise — Highest standard monthly allocation

Credits on paid plans reset monthly. Frontier models use more credits per request than lighter models. You can monitor usage in your billing dashboard.

On any paid plan, sign in and check the Credits page for available packs and auto top-up controls.

Can I brand my app or use a custom domain?

Yes. Every paid plan removes the "Powered by Taskade" badge. Business and above add app colour branding and custom domains:

  • Every paid plan — Remove the "Powered by Taskade" badge
  • Custom domains (Business+) — Host apps on app.yourcompany.com
  • App colours (Business+) — Set your app's primary, accent, and background colours to match your brand
  • Password protection (Pro+) — Control access to published apps

This is ideal for agencies, consultants, and SaaS companies building client-facing portals, dashboards, and tools with Taskade Genesis.

Upgrade to Business →

How am I billed for workspace members?

Each plan includes a workspace member allowance, and you count as one member. Free includes 2 members; Pro includes up to 10; Business, Max, and Enterprise support unlimited members under the current plan matrix.

Sharing with guests and collaborators is free on all plans — only members count toward limits.

Contact us for custom team pricing.

How can I save on a paid plan?

Annual billing saves 50% compared with monthly billing on Pro, Business, Max, and Enterprise.

Taskade does not publish a standing student, startup, nonprofit, or education discount program. Compare billing options →

Why are mobile app plans different?

Mobile app stores have specific requirements for subscription plans.

Any plan purchased through mobile is valid across all platforms — web, desktop, and mobile.

How do I activate my new plan?

After upgrading, activate your workspaces in four quick steps:

  1. Visit taskade.com/settings/activate
  2. Select the workspaces you want to upgrade
  3. Click "Activate Selected Workspaces"
  4. Refresh the page — your new features are live

What are Projects? (The Memory Pillar)

Projects are living databases that power your Taskade Genesis apps. They're the Memory pillar of Workspace DNA.

Unlike simple notes or task lists, projects are structured data that:

  • Sync in real-time between your app UI and the underlying data
  • Switch views — List, Board, Table, Mind Map, Docs, Gantt Chart, Calendar, Actionsheet, and Org Chart
  • Collaborate inline — @mentions, custom fields, and text highlights across all views
  • Power automations — Trigger workflows when data changes
  • Train AI agents — Agents can analyze, clean, classify, and predict using project data

Use cases:

  • Booking systems with automated reminders
  • Inventory trackers with stock alerts
  • CRM pipelines with lead scoring
  • Content calendars with publishing workflows

Import from CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets. Your data becomes intelligent.

Learn about Projects & Databases →

What are AI Agents? (The Intelligence Pillar)

Agents are the reasoning layer of Taskade — the Intelligence pillar of Workspace DNA.

They're not chatbots. Agents learn from your workspace, make decisions, trigger automations, and evolve over time.

What agents can do:

  • Research, plan, analyze, write, and code
  • Execute custom commands and respond to triggers
  • Use tools — Slack, email, web search, APIs, and 100+ integrations
  • Collaborate with other agents in multi-agent teams
  • Run automations and update project data
  • Greet users with custom intros and conversation starters

How to train agents:

Upload files (PDFs, docs), paste URLs, add YouTube videos, or connect cloud drives (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive). Agents build a knowledge base from your sources and get smarter with every interaction.

How to create:

  • AI Agent Generator — Describe what you need in plain language
  • Templates — Pre-built agent templates for common use cases
  • Custom — Full control over personality, commands, tools, and knowledge

Build your first agent →

Can I train agents on my own data?

Yes. Every agent can be trained on your own knowledge sources:

  • Files — PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, presentations
  • URLs — Websites, documentation, knowledge bases
  • YouTube — Video transcripts and content
  • Cloud Drives — Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive

Agents also learn from your real-time project data — they can read, analyze, and act on the structured data in your workspace.

Each agent maintains short-term and long-term memory, so they remember context from previous conversations and get better over time.

Training is automatic — just add your sources and the agent builds its knowledge base.

Learn about agent knowledge →

What is Multi-Agent Orchestration?

Multi-Agent Orchestration lets you deploy multiple AI agents working together on tasks concurrently.

Three modes of collaboration:

  • Single Agent, Multiple Tasks — Assign one agent to handle different tasks sequentially
  • Multiple Agents, Concurrent — Deploy specialized agents on different tasks simultaneously
  • Bulk Assignment — Select multiple items and assign an agent to all of them at once

Each agent has short-term and long-term memory, so they can review previous work, iterate on results, and coordinate through your shared workspace data.

Think of it as building an AI team — a researcher, a writer, and a reviewer can all work on the same project at the same time.

Learn about Multi-Agents →

What are Custom Tools for AI Agents?

Custom Tools extend what AI agents can do beyond conversation. Built-in capabilities include web search, code execution, file analysis, and connected-service actions; you can also create tools for your own workflows.

Built-in tools include:

  • Web search and URL scraping
  • Image generation and analysis
  • Code execution
  • File reading and writing
  • Database queries

Custom tools let agents call external APIs, trigger automations, query databases, and interact with third-party services — all configured through a simple interface, no coding required.

Combined with slash commands and persistent memory, Custom Tools turn agents into autonomous workers that can research, decide, and act on your behalf.

Build Custom Tools →

What are Automations? (The Execution Pillar)

Automations are the execution layer. They can keep workflows running after you leave the workspace.

Triggers include:

  • Webhooks and API calls
  • Form submissions
  • Task and project events
  • Scheduled times (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Agent chat completions
  • 100+ integrations (Slack, Gmail, GitHub, Stripe, Calendly, and more)

Actions include:

  • Run agent commands
  • Send notifications (Slack, email, Discord, WhatsApp)
  • Update databases and project data
  • Branch with conditions and loop through data
  • Scrape websites and call external APIs

Example workflows:

  • Form submitted → AI summarizes → Slack notification
  • Every Monday → Check project statuses → Generate report
  • Stripe payment → Create account → Send onboarding email
  • GitHub PR merged → Update project → Notify team

Build from scratch, generate with a prompt, or use templates. Automations can keep running after you close the tab.

Explore Automations →

How do automations connect to external services?

Taskade automations connect to 100+ external services through built-in integrations and custom connectors:

Built-in integrations — Pre-configured connectors for Slack, Gmail, GitHub, Stripe, HubSpot, Discord, Google Sheets, Calendly, WordPress, and dozens more. Set up in seconds with OAuth authentication.

Webhooks — Receive data from any service that supports webhooks. Use as automation triggers or send data out to external endpoints.

HTTP requests — Call any REST API directly from automation steps. Send data, fetch results, and use responses in subsequent steps.

Custom Agent Tools — Give AI agents the ability to call external APIs as part of their reasoning and actions.

Connections support branching logic, loops, and error handling. You can build more than a single trigger and a single action.

Browse integrations →

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. Your data is never used to train AI models.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest (AES-256)
  • Google CASA certified (OWASP ASVS Level 2)
  • Data protection practices aligned with industry standards
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance in progress
  • SAML single sign-on available from Business up
  • Agents only see what you give them access to

We partner with trusted AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) under strict data processing agreements.

Learn more about security →

Is my data safe if I change plans?

Yes — your data is always safe. Workspaces, projects, agents, apps, and automations remain fully intact when you switch or downgrade plans.

You keep full access to all your content. Premium features become read-only until you re-upgrade — but nothing is ever deleted.

Manage your plan →

What is a Workspace?

Your workspace is the source of truth — the DNA — for everything in Taskade.

  • Projects = your data (memory)
  • Agents = your AI teammates (intelligence)
  • Automations = your workflows (execution)

When you create a Taskade Genesis app, it connects to this foundation. Your workspace is your app's backend.

You can have multiple workspaces for different teams, clients, or use cases — all under one account.

What's the difference between guests and members?

Members have a Taskade account and are invited to your workspace. They can access all projects and teams within that workspace.

Guests are invited to specific projects only. They can view and collaborate on those projects, but can't access the full workspace.

Guests are free on all plans — only members count toward your plan limits.

Learn about permissions →

How do I invite someone to my workspace?

Go to your workspace, click the Share button, and send an invitation link or email.

Set a role for each member. Taskade uses a 7-tier role system from Owner to Viewer. See the permission guide for the exact labels.

Learn about roles →

Can I share individual projects?

Yes. Share individual projects without giving access to your entire workspace.

Pricing, credits, and billing

See how credits, plans, and billing work. Switch plans at any time.

How do AI credits work in Taskade?

Credits power AI features: building Taskade Genesis apps, running agents, executing AI automation steps, and using AI chat.

Credit allocation by plan:

  • Free: Your first build is on us. Get started free, no credit card
  • Pro: 50,000 credits/month — unlimited agents, all frontier models
  • Business: 150,000 credits/month — team-wide building at scale

Paid plans reset monthly on your billing date. Free credits are a one-time grant. Lighter models cost fewer credits per action.

Monitor your usage →

What can I build with free credits?

Your first build is included: the free credit grant is sized to fund one complete Genesis app, from the build itself to AI chat for brainstorming, writing, and analysis along the way.

The Free plan itself allows up to 3 Genesis apps, 1 AI agent trained on your data, and automation runs with AI-powered steps — those are plan limits, separate from what the credits fund. Published apps keep running after credits are used. Visitors do not consume your credits.

Start building →

Do published Genesis apps use my credits?

No. Published apps run for free — visitors can use your apps without consuming any of your credits.

Credits are only used when you generate or edit apps, run AI agent conversations, or execute AI-powered automation steps. Once published, your apps serve unlimited visitors at zero credit cost.

This means one-time build cost, unlimited usage.

Why upgrade from Free to a paid plan?

Free is for exploration. Paid plans add more of the Taskade Genesis surface:

  • Pro ($10/mo, billed annually): Unlimited agents and automations, 50,000 credits/month, 15+ frontier models, 100+ integrations, remove the Taskade watermark
  • Business ($25/mo, billed annually): 150,000 credits/month, custom domains, white-labeling, unlimited team members, advanced analytics

Compare all plans →

Which AI models are included with each plan?

Taskade runs on TSK-1, powered by 15+ frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-weight providers:

  • Free and paid: Use Auto, or pick TSK-Instant, TSK-Standard, TSK-Thinking, or TSK-Reasoning
  • Paid plans: More monthly credits and higher request capacity
  • Paid plans: Premium models unlocked for per-agent selection

Auto mode selects a model for the task. You do not need to manage your own API keys.

What's the best plan for my team?

Depends on your team size and building volume:

  • Solo / exploring: Free — your first build is on us, then Pro when you're ready to ship more
  • Small team (2-10): Pro ($10/mo billed annually, includes 10 users) — unlimited agents, all AI models, 50K credits
  • Department / agency: Business ($25/mo billed annually, unlimited users) — SAML SSO, custom domains, white-label, 150K credits
  • Enterprise: SCIM user provisioning, custom SLA, dedicated support — contact sales

Every team member gets access to shared projects, AI agents, and automations. Guests and collaborators are free on all plans.

See team pricing →

How do I stretch my credits further?

Smart model selection makes a big difference:

  • Use Auto mode — Taskade picks a model for the task
  • Lighter models cost fewer credits for short edits and high-volume agent tasks
  • Reasoning models cost more. Use them for long analysis and planning
  • Published apps are free to serve — build once, then visitors do not consume credits

Review your usage patterns at Settings → Usage to see which actions consume the most credits.

Learn about model tiers →

How do I get more credits if I run out?

Multiple options:

  • Credit packs (paid plans): Buy additional credits anytime at upgrade/credits — volume discounts available
  • Auto top-up (paid plans): Automatically purchase a credit pack when your balance hits zero — enable at Settings → Billing
  • Upgrade your plan: Higher plans include more monthly credits and better per-credit value
  • Earn free credits: Refer friends (up to 3,500 credits) or claim social credits through reviews and follows

Your existing apps, projects, and automations keep working while you're out of credits — only new AI generation pauses.

Can I switch plans or billing cycles anytime?

Yes — full flexibility:

  • Upgrade anytime: Changes take effect immediately. You're prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle.
  • Downgrade anytime: Takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — no data lost.
  • Switch monthly ↔ annual: Annual billing saves up to 50%. Switch at Settings → Billing.
  • Everything carries over: Apps, agents, automations, projects, and data stay intact across plan changes.

Manage your plan →

Is my billing information secure?

Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe — the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon, Google, and Shopify.

  • Taskade never stores your full card number
  • All transactions are PCI DSS compliant
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Google CASA certified (OWASP ASVS Level 2)
