Coming as an entry-level smartphone, Tecno Spark Plus K9 is news worthy and surely a good contender in the mid-range category of Android phones.
Tecno Spark Plus K9 didn’t come alone, it was accompanied by Tecno Spark K7 which has lower price tag and lower features compared to its senior counterpart in the new ‘Spark’ series of phone from Tecno. See Tecno Spark phones comparison.
Both the Tecno Spark Plus K9 and Spark K7 are low-end devices with some reputable features and a quite attractive body design, though the design concept might have been drawn from the iPhone 7 device. Going by the Spark Plus K9’s spec sheet we have;

The device is parked with a 3,400 mAh of battery juice, though not among the best we’ve seen, the battery capacity on Tecno Spark Plus K9 is quite sufficient and will deliver good talk time and stand by time.
The Spark Plus K9 is dual SIM based but doesn’t supports 4G network option, a fingerprint scanner is well positioned at the back of the device, providing for a more secured and faster phone unlock system. It’s body design is quite attractive, the device is available in Scarlet Red, Champagne Gold, Anthracite Grey and Elegant Blue colors.
Tecno Spark Plus K9 price in Nigeria is expected to start some where around 40,000 Naira to 46,000 Naira (which is about 120 USD). Price may vary depending on your location.
Othe Phones to consider
Update: Tecno offers newer smartphones with later Android version like the Tecno Camon 20, Tecno Spark 20 and the Spark 10 device. You can look at great mid-range and low-priced phones like the Itel RS4 and Infinix Smart 8 HD.
For older phones within the same range, the Infinix Note Pro will be great alternative of the Tecno Spark Plus K9; it has a better display resolution, bigger RAM and battery. The Camon CX will be a great choice as well if you need a device with outstanding front and back cameras.
If you happen to be tight on budget, consider Itel S31, Infinix Smart, Gretel A9, and the Spark K7. They are all budget-friendly with nice features to compliment.

D teckno spark plus aka k9 is wack. I ve got it n it freezes. It sucks. Overrated 2gig ram for nothing. Even my formal phone infinix hot 4 lite is way better.
I must admit Tecno k9 almost met my requirement. but in the ran aspect I prefer redmi 5 4gb ram. Anyways thanks for sharing

I thinka I am going for k9 after reading all this confession and opinion of everyone. K9 is more trendy, more beautiful than L9 . its just that the battery no go really do me but I will prefer it like DAT. L9 no fine at all . very poor beauty it posses.
@Henry please can you recommend me in this 3 listed phone, the one to choose.
Tecno k9 plus
Tecno l9 plus
Infinix note 3
Thanks

Tecno k9 n CX which one is more better
Nokia 2 nd techno K9 shud is beta?
Hy Henry, how do u compare this tecno k9 and gionee X1s? Which is better?? Thank you for updates
Gionee X1s is better in terms specs; bigger battery of 4000 mAh and RAM of 3GB. But if you’re a fan of bigger screens, Tecno spark k9 has bigger (6.0”) display than the X1s (5.2”), although they have the same screen resolution.
Don’t be deceived, this phone doesn’t have 4G. I bought the phone because of the 4G and was highly disappointed. Don’t waste your money if 4G is what you want. Apart from that, the phone is super quality. 2 Gig ram wey make sense
Does the 4G LTE really work
A good phone of his calibre, look like iPhone 7 the battery strong than 3400mha, I love it. I bought it 42k.
I bought my tecno K9 plus at $120 here in Kampala Uganda (ush. 432,000/=) but I am still charging it. Tecno is my favourite bcoz of a strong battery and good camera
How the camera of k9 L9 plus?
Tecno spark plus k9 has more camera goodies than Tecno L9.
So I should go for L9 plus and leave spark k9 plus
The major difference between the two is battery capacity, the L9 has 5000 mAh while Spark Plus K9 uses 3400 mAh. If you’re not worried about battery capacity, I’ll advice you go for the Spark Plus K9, it has good camera features with trendy design and the battery is likewise not that bad.
tecno spark plus k9 and tecno l9 plus which one is better
Pls tecno spark plus k9 and tecno l9 plus which one is better?
Tecno L9 has more to offer in terms of overall specs so typically, it is better.
does k9 has notification light
does k9 has notification light
Wants to be sure which is best to purchase between tecno spark K9 and Infinix Hot 5
Tecno Spark Plus is better than the Hot 5 from Infinix in terms of overall specifications
Expantiate
1. You have to know that you may not get “everything” you desire in a phone. Having known this, you have to make a choice.
Personally K9 plus is a better phone than Hot 5 in overall specifications.
Hot 5 also have its advantage in terms of battery life.
I’d suggest you go for K9 plus
oga can’t you reduce the price of tecno spark k7 or is it a fixed price
Whr Will I Get K9 In Gh Nd The Price
As it seems, Tecno spark plus k9 is yet to be available in Ghana

Not certain about that, check your online stores and good phone vendors around you for it.

I want to sell my spark k7plus (2g ram) and go for k9plus.
HOW MUCH AND HOW IS THE BODY OF THE PHONE I MEAN FROM YOUR HANDLING
Was thinking it was only the spark that was coming, didn’t know the spark plus will follow through. Slightly better than the normal Spark with little variations in size and minor specs. Cool
Tecno with their 1G Phone is just to crazy for my liking….
1G ram is bad as at dis time instead I will go for cubot dinosaur phone
This is an improvement from the Spark, both devices having the alluring design.
pls what is the battery life like? how long does it last?
3400 mAh on the tecno spark plus is big enough to give you long time usage, the battery will last long after full charge
I believe you though… But for heavy phone users or people who really don’t have constant power supply.. I dnt think its DAT perfect… It should av been better at 3500 – 4000mah and probably an increase in price.. Not sure its perfect for me but I really love it
Thats true. Tecno could have done better but all the same, the capacity is not bad for a sleek phone.
pls is tecno spark plus K9 out
Tecno K9 is available through some retail stores accross the country.
does k9 show led light on notifications
Yes. I’m using it right now. So nice phone
Tell about the battery life of k 9?
no mine does show led light on notifications
